RATNW 0 Posted August 1, 2014 Our standard league has keepers that originally get drafted in the 5th round or later. We can keep 2 players and they are placed in the 5th and 6th rounds. My keepers this year are Peyton and Doug Martin (and Ben Tate). I am considering trading Martin for a 6th round pick and then not keeping anyone in the 6th so I would then have 2 picks in the 6th round that would be keepers. If I do that I am hoping for Carlos Hyde and Christine Michael who both could have big upside especially next year. So the question is keep Martin or try to get Hyde and Michael? ralphster 274 Posted August 1, 2014 If you don't keep Martin and MISS on both the rooks you're going to hate yourself. No idea why you wouldn't want to keep Peyton and Martin - that's a hella good start to your team. With stuff like this its hard to give you advice simply because we don't know a) other keepers, your league mates' draft habits, c) scoring, etc etc etc
weepaws 2,460 Posted August 1, 2014 I would Martin who will be the starter . Why draft handcuff in that spot when you already have a starter and can get one of the handcuff players later
RATNW 0 Posted August 1, 2014 I know Martin is the better choice short term. My reasoning is to be able to draft 2 players that I could keep and projected to be starters and possibly be top 5 within 2 years. I draft in the 11 spot, so I doubt I would be able to get either as Round 7 starts and that is where the keeper drafting really begins. Just debating on taking that gamble looking to make my team stronger next year. Thanks for advice!
