Trade Too Much?

Recommended Posts

Need some advice on whether or not to pull the trigger and off this trade. 12 team standard league. I am looking to upgrade my second RB. I have the WR depth to trade one plus my 2nd RB now. Starting lineup is Matt Ryan, Monte Ball, Toby Gerhart, Larry Fitzgerald, Randall Cobb, AJ Green, Pitta, Graham, Pitt D. On my bench I have Joique Bell, Golden Tate, Bernard Pierce, Kelvin Benjamin, Andre Williams.

I am looking at offering Gerhart and Pierce and either Cobb or Fitzgerald for Demarco Murray/Roddy White.

Is this a fair trade or beneficial on my half?

I keep Bell and Tate with my starting lineup Ball/Murray/Green/White/Fitz or Cobb

I think I would have to give up Cobb, but like I said, I would have White, Fitz and Tate still to go alongside Green. That is still a solid trio and Murray is heads and shoulders above Gerhart I think.

Seems like a good trade for both sides. Definitely keep Cobb and give up Fitz if you can though haha

My only reason for including Cobb and not Fitz is because if someone came to me with this trade, I'd say, where's the improvement for my team. This team is getting an obvious decrease going from Murray to Gerhart, giving up White and getting Fitz is basically the same player. I have to make it enticing for them and that means giving up Cobb than so be it.

Still have Tate, Fitz and White to go with AJ Green

It's an okay trade but I'm not sure they would take it. They probably aren't dying to get rid of Murray.

By now you've probably either pulled the trigger or not on this...but for what it's worth: I like this trade for you. Cobb not having the best pre-season...(I know, I know...so what)...but w/Boykin looking fantastic & entrenched as the #3 in Green Bay...there are more & better mouth's to feed there. Love (love) Roddy for a bounce back year, esp. w/Tony G. retired. I think that, at worst, you are even in the WR trade...and at best, White has more upside. As to the RB portion...you are trading depth (Pierce) of your bench for an (rather tremendous) upgrade to your starting line-up. This is a good thing. With J.Bell, you already have a good replacement...so no big need to keep Pierce. If you trade 3 for 2....maybe you pick up a J. Grimes-type or other top-handcuff for added RB depth. Go for it; I like the deal, even if you lose Cobb.
