fd626 0 Posted August 22, 2014 League Info: 14 Teams Non PPR Standard Scoring Auction Live Draft (1)QB (2)WR (1)RB (1)TE (2)WR/RB/TE (1)K (1)DEF First time doing a live auction draft and after being so used to the snake style, definitely was a challenge. After the draft and the results were put into the computer, Yahoo sent out a "Report Card" on our draft performance. I received a "B" and was told that I had better than average QB,WR and TE but weak on RB and that I was predicted to finish 5-9 putting me in at 9th place out of 14. Are these predictions typically correct? Should I look to trade a WR or TE for a stronger RB? If not, what advice in general do you have for me to improve my chances? Thanks in advance! MY TEAM QB: Russel Wilson WR: Julio Jones, Michael Crabtree, Torrey Smith, Eric Decker RB: Giovani Bernard, Steven Jackson, Ryan Matthews, Pierre Thomas, Tre Mason TE: Greg Olsen, Heath Miller K: Justin Tucker D: Chicago I know Tre Mason is probably giving some question marks. Last pick and I chose him simply because I went to Auburn and didn't recognize too many of the others with their being 14 teams and all. Not at all set on having him. Some of the better unclaimed players that I could add: Jeremy Hill, Bernard Pierce, Cecil Shorts, Andre Williams, Brian Hartline.
Herbivore 905 Posted August 22, 2014 I think the B grade is about right. 5-9 looks a little low. With only having to start 1 RB, could probably drop Tre and pick up a WR. I think you are going to be better off starting 3 maybe 4 WR.
LegendoftheFall 3 Posted August 22, 2014 Drop Tre Mason and pick up Jeremy Hill. He'll be a part time RB with goalline carries at worst. and gives you controlof that backfield if he or Gio gets hurt the other would be a top 10 RB. Id also drop Pierre thomas (saints RBs are more frustraing than Patriots RBs), and try to add some WR depth. Also iidont like to carry 2 TE when Olsen will probably be your every week except 1 starter. Also the yahoo projections are a joke, but give you an estimate of projected points vs other teams. i dont think you want to be projected last or anything, but if you're middle of the pack or better on those, you've got as good a shot as anyone. tigeru 65 Posted August 23, 2014 I would say if you're using a non sports site for fantasy then the projections are going to be a joke.
jaebr29 5 Posted August 23, 2014 Drop Tre like they're saying. I'd pick up a wr over a rb.
