BunnysBastatrds 2,707 Posted June 5, 2009 They bussed them out when we activated for Hurricane Rita. Crime was unreal downtown, people getting jumped, murders spiked, cars broken into.. You probably won't find many Houstonians who are sympathetic to Katrina victims. I understand it was tragic, but you don't need to act like animals. I told a friend of mine early on that the good folks of Houston must be saying " Houston. We have a problem!" Some of them did act like fawking animals. And from what I hear, there were some who should have been spanked and beaten when they got off the busses. I have to admit: I loved the fact that many of the worst dregs of N.O. society would never be back! I hear the criminals are learning what justice is really like over there though. I hear they aren't getting away with sh!t. And that is good. Sorry though...
BunnysBastatrds 2,707 Posted June 5, 2009 So KAtrina was sort of like a cleansing? Find any baby book prior to 2006. The name Katrina means to "cleanse". Who knew?
BunnysBastatrds 2,707 Posted June 5, 2009 Why did'nt they take wiffleball with them? The fact that wiff has to deal with them now, makes my day! And my arsehole uncle who thinks just like wiff.

BunnysBastatrds 2,707 Posted June 5, 2009 I'm not so sure that this thread has gone the way BunnyBalls had hoped. It actually has. I agree with most of what I have read so far. I knew you guys were more informed than most! I love my town. I never said I respected it without fault. See above!
BunnysBastatrds 2,707 Posted June 5, 2009 What did he expect? Heck, just in the thread title alone he's using 9/11 as a spinoff for Katrina. I know it was extremely devastating to him personally, and I'm sympathetic, but nationally Katrina was news for about a week. Then it became all about the looting, using FEMA cards for strippers, living in government trailers for two plus years.. blah blah blah. I will never compare the two events. They are different in every way. I just wanted an opinion from you! And I got it. Thanks. Your quote says a lot. ", but nationally Katrina was news for about a week." You're right. You want to know what I used my $2,ooo.00 FEMA card on? The one I didn't want or ask for? I sent it back to Uncle Sam with a note. FAWK YOU!!! NO FAWKING THANKS!!! If you did your job in the first place, I wouldn't need your pity!!!!" I was audited in 2008 for the first time.
Me_2006 14 Posted June 5, 2009 I love that even the most ardent George Bush haters don't blame him, nature, fate, or anything but a bunch of black folks. I love this place.
BunnysBastatrds 2,707 Posted June 5, 2009 Kartina and 9/11 just don't live in the same part of my brain. I don't believe they belong being mentioned together. The greatest natural and unnatural disaster in the history of our country shouldn't be mentioned together? I agree. But total fawks ups that the citizens of the US had to endure are not far off. In other words: Don't ever rely on goverment to get it right! Ever! It's up to you to rely on yourself to do right! No matter what the circumstances are! They will do you in. And relying on them makes you weak!!! And the goverment welfare t!ts suckers around here found that out very quickly! Katrina hit on the 29th. The day before welfare checks were to arrive. Many didn't leave because they thought those checks would make it. How stoooopid is that? A Cat 4 storm hitting directly. And many stayed to collect their checks? You know what's coming next? A savings plan for those on welfare in huricane or natural disaster prone areas to rely on because of where they live. You wait and see. There is a class of people who don't care about self awarness. They think the gov is the end all be all!!!! Sick!!!!
BunnysBastatrds 2,707 Posted June 5, 2009 I bet Colt 45 consumption has gone way up, though. And then some!!! You want to know what industry was back and running the fastest after Katrina? The Budweiser Beer plant in Harahan, and the gas stations to sell it! The ones with no gas. I found beer in Westwego four days after the storm. They were brewing beer at Budweiser before The Times Picayune posted their first paper. New Orleans baby! Drink and die!
BunnysBastatrds 2,707 Posted June 5, 2009 Blanco got the boot, though. overrode both state and local gov't? Why not just set the constitution aflame while you're at it Yes she did! The legislature are a bunch of good ole boys though. We are setting flames against them. Finaly! Katrina is cleansing our soul!
BunnysBastatrds 2,707 Posted June 5, 2009 1. Poorly maintained infrastructure2. Citizens of New Orleans and it's government 3. ineffectual leadership at all levels of government On the money!!! It's that simple! And then it's not. But you get it!
BunnysBastatrds 2,707 Posted June 5, 2009 1. The focking HURRICANE! 2. Uh, God? 3. Why the fock did you need to be rescued? What part of MANDATORY EVACUATION DID YOU STUPID MOTHERFOCKERS NOT GET? Geeus motherfocking Christ. You people act like you're the only ones who've every been hit by a focking hurricane. The difference is the stupidity and low-class of the 'victims' in LA compared to Florida, Texas, Mississippi. First things first wiff: Am I on ignore or not? Looks like i'm not. When you decide to be a man and argue or relate facts in a manly way, let's talk. Your, pick and choose approach makes you the biggest poosay on here I have encountered. And the fact you don't get it is laughable! I challenged you two days ago on your "dead fish thread", and heard nothing. I might have banged your significant other with a doggy bag and then challenged you to a duel, and you were nowhere to be found. And here you are. On my thread. Go the fawk away if you are not man enough to challenge all, all the time. Even the annoying. My 8 year old daughter has more guts than you do. She got hit in the face by a line drive she knew was coming. And then got up and tagged the girl out that hit her. Only difference between you and my daughter is; she cried after she made the play! Not before!
BunnysBastatrds 2,707 Posted June 5, 2009 my coworker is from chalmette (not sure of spelling). she is very interesting and explains that where she lived it was very segregated. she said that n.o. is racist and that it wasn't until she moved to georgia that she saw large amounts of middle class blacks. You're spelling it right. That was my area after Katrina. 99.5% of every property was flooded with an average of 9 feet of water thanks to the MRGO. Segregated in St. Bernard? Only if she was section eight and lower living. It was segregated by the fact that some blacks refused to live in Orleans Parish. The Ninth Ward is right next door. Chalmette was racist. They had a daiquri shop in 1998 that sold a daiquri called " Dead Nigggggger". Patron would ask " What's a Dead Niggerrrr?" The owner would say, "a good one!" Chalmette was the butt of many jokes. You know what shrimp boots are? The big white ones? In the city, we called them, "Chalmette Dress Shoes." It went both ways peenie. Ask her about Rocky & Carlos's Restaurant. Best macorni and cheese with veal anywhere. If you could stand the old ###### smoking cigs serving your meal, who was a racist. I know two couples that went to Atlanta after Katrina. Black couples. One of them had a daughter in second grade here in New Orleans Public Schools. When they got to Atlanta, the daughter was tested. She was moved down to kindergarten because of her lack of reading skills. They were pissed off. But understood after talking with the teachers there, that the best thing for them to do was start over. That was four years ago. Their daughter has caught back up because of it, and is better off. You will never hear these stories. And that is sad! Many families are better off now than they were before. If you come to New Orleans, I'll show you. wiffleball 4,797 Posted June 5, 2009 You're failing so see the "everyone get out" part. The place was going to flood no matter what. Since Pimp quoted you: For over fifty years, we were told that the levee system was in tact and solid by the Army (Corpse) of Engineers You really can't be this stupid can you? Do you take ANY personal focking responsibility for anything? Every 5 years or so, some intrepid (ne bored) reporter trots out the 'scandal' that the levee system is/was woefully inadequate. It was the worst kept secret in NOLA, in America for Chrissake! Yeah, but like the ngers, blame the government for your personal failures to heed the warnings. wiffleball 4,797 Posted June 5, 2009 But Louisiana State University engineer Joseph Suhayda and others have warned for years that defenses could fail. In 2002, the New Orleans Times Picayune published a five-part series on "The Big One" examining what might happen if they did. It predicted that 200,000 people or more would be unwilling or unable to heed evacuation orders and thousands would die, that people would be housed in the Superdome, that aid workers would find it difficult to gain access to the city as roads became impassable, as well as many other of the consequences that actually unfolded after Katrina hit this week. But BB had absolutely no warnings - no CLUE it could happen.

BunnysBastatrds Posted Today, 01:40 AM You have chosen to ignore all posts from: BunnysBastatrds Did you read all of my post? Apparently not. Bingo!!! Blanco was a school teacher and grandmother who got elected Governor because of her husbands political connections. Imagine your third grade teacher running a back alley craps game with the hall of fame street hustlers. And Lreoy Brown wasn't the baddest of the bad in the (HOF) alley. For over fifty years, we were told that the levee system was in tact and solid by the Army (Corpse) of Engineers. The soil they drove the levee pillings in on the 17th St Canal, London Canal, and Industrial Canal, the ones that all failed, the I-walls were driven into soil that they knew wouldn't hold up. Generations past and present, failed miserably here to get the proper work done. We accepted their word, and went on. Epic fail on our part!!! We are learning that the levee inspectors inspected for fifteen hours a week, and ate lunch the same amount of time. And tripled that time drinking while getting paid. I do take resposnsibility. For not making sure things were done the right way! That's on me and my dad, and his dad. It was our fault!!! And since you didn't read my first post apparently..... Got three main questions for you: 1- What caused the destruction? 2- Who's to blame for it? 3- Why was the response to rescue us so slow? I'll respond accordingly. To each and every one. I want to know what you think. I fight every week with family as to why I stay. I was responding. Thats why?
BunnysBastatrds 2,707 Posted June 5, 2009 But BB had absolutely no warnings - no CLUE it could happen. The house I grew up in was nine feet below sea level. When I was ten, I did survey work with a friend and his dad on the weekends. Held the survey stick and made a few bucks. He told my dad that the Lake Ponchatrain shoreline was even with our gutters. A quarter mile away. And that was in the suburbs. 70% of the entire greater New Orleans area is below sea level. It wasn't a matter of if, but when a major storm would come through and possibly flood the city. The response was slow. And your right, it wouldn't have mattered what Prez was in charge. It all starts from the plans your own city lays out. It says it all right there. We all knew it. We live in a bowl. Now go put your Lane Bryants on. I'm getting frisky!
