JediMaster 20 Posted August 28, 2006 13 team?? Odd but if it works out then awesome. Looks pretty good. You are pretty solid all around as long as K. Jones doesn't fall on his face again this year. I like F. Gore, he's a good #3 RB. As far as your Wr's you have 1 of the top 3 in the game. I like M. Jones, and L. Evans is a nice #3. Solid TE, K is just a K and D is not bad either. veebs4 2 Posted August 28, 2006 I would say that team is solid, maybe a little weak at WR beyond Holt, although I took a chance on Matt Jones as well. Your RBs are a mix of consistency (Rudi) and risk/reward (Gore/Jones); personal preference, I think you did pretty well. I have never eval'd a 13-teamer, but it looks pretty solid... likely above 0.500, maybe playoffs, depending on your league's system. My 12-team results from the 9 spot with identical starting lineup requirements.
Mattias19 0 Posted August 28, 2006 As mentioned above, the lack of depth at WR may hurt you. Having Gore there at No. 3 is good insurance. Being a metro Detroiter I'm a little biased toward Jones and I think he'll have a great year. He's worked extensively on his pass-catching abilities in the offseason so he'll be in on 3rd-down passing plays, something he wasn't last year. (Instead of being replaced by Bryson -- like last year -- they'll likely both be in the backfield for those plays.) Granted, KJ hasn't looked great in the preseason but half of the offensive line has been on the sidelines. (Need not worry -- they'll all be back for Week 1, and are mostly out for precautionary reasons more than anything.) If Jones had dropped to my 3rd round selection (picked 11th overall, so late 3rd) I probably would've taken him anyway despite 2 stud RBs already on the roster. I had him last year and got burned BAD, but his run at the end of his rookie year wasn't a fluke. schraj2 0 Posted August 28, 2006 First off, I think your QB, D, TE, and K picks are solid. Without seeing what round you took them, I would guess good quality picks, that you didn't have to reach for. Second, I think your RBs are a little on the shakey side after Rudi. Both Jones and Gore have high expectations but are somewhat of a gamble. Third, I really like your WR picks, Holt will be solid, and Evans should be decent. More importantly I really like the picks of Jones, and Taylor. Both of them could potentially replace Evans as your #2 wr. Overall I would give your team a solid B Please see my post
PaintGuru 0 Posted August 28, 2006 Being another Detroiter, I think Jones is going to fall on his face again, so hopefully Gore works out for you. I think you could use one more sold WR, but other then that, it looks good! http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=225455
