JREarly 0 Posted September 2, 2006 alright i am in a 10 team league and i have been offered a trade in which i am unsure what to do about. i will list my team below along with the trade details. standard scoring in this league. we start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR/RB, TE, K, DEF my team: QB - MCNABB, PLUMMER RB - PORTIS, CADDY, K. JONES, GORE, DUCKETT WR - HARRISON, D. JAX, GALLOWAY, STALLWORTH, ENGRAM TE - HEAP K - REED DEF - CAROLINA right now this is what my starting lineup looks like for week 1 MCNABB PORTIS CADDY HARRISON D. JAX GORE HEAP REED CAROLINA this is the trade that has been offered to me I give: QB - MCNABB RB - K. JONES WR - GALLOWAY K - REED I get: QB - BLEDSOE RB - DUNN WR - BOLDIN K - RACKERS seems to me that i should go ahead and accept this deal. i am however concerned with BLEDSOE and DUNNs injuries. should i be? heard DUNN has a groin injury and BLEDSOE a concussion. GALLOWAY and BOLDIN had almost equal numbers last year in my league but i dont see that happening again this year, i think BOLDIN will by far outplay him. i like MCNABB because i got stallworth but thats really no big deal. if BLEDSOE is healthy i think they will be pretty equal this year. kickers i get the advantage. tell me why i should or should not do this deal. i need some good advice. thanks. leave a link for me to check out. dcg 0 Posted September 2, 2006 come on all you GEEEEEKS. help me out. I wouldn't. Too scared of Bledsoe's lack of line/mobility. Dunn w/ injury is a downgrade from Jones. Upside of Boldin and Rackers isn't worth it to me. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=227656
Killer Elite 0 Posted September 2, 2006 I actually like the deal. I think Dunn is an upgrade over K. Jones now that he should get goaline touches (I have KJones really low though because he playes for detroit and they suck). Bledsoe should be great with Glenn and TO. And you really need Boldin so you can bench DJax. I say pull the trigger.
brennus90 0 Posted September 2, 2006 I'd decline. You're only upgrading your receiver core. Bledsoe definitely is a downgrade from McNabb, and I don't have a lot of confidence in Dunn. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=227664

I would do it. Galloway is at the age where I wouldn't want to depend on him too much, Kevin Jones needs to prove that he is more consistent and Warrick Dunn should score more this season. In my opinion its an upgrade trade in every aspect expect for Bledsoe, but you have Palmer, so Pull the trigger. Ah I read that wrong you have Plummer, Not Palmer. Wll that complicates things a bit. I would say no then. Bledsoe has played well in the preseason, but Parcells is high on Tony Romo, and if the Cowboys cant protect Drew then they seem to be confident that Romo can lead the team. I on the other hand would not want my Quarterback position in the hands of Jake Plummer and potentially face the prospect of having Tony Romo as my backup. MarkF150 0 Posted September 3, 2006 more help please I would definitley do it. Who the hell is McNabb going to throw to this year? Westbrook and Stallworth are both injury prone and Brown is an OK WR at best. Even though Bledsoe is getting older he's got TO, Glenn, and Witten. Holy TD's batman! Vick has already stated that he is going to be running the ball alot less, which means he won't be vulturing all of Dunn's GL carries. Galloway is getting older and Boldin is a monster in a very potent AZ offense. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=227735

I wouldn't give up McNabb. I think he's going to be great this year. I'm not even Down on Bledsoe but his OL is sketchy and I don't like that consussion he just got. Stay put or just try to get Dunn and Boldin for Galloway and KJ without losing McNabb. Thanks! http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=227723
mrgymrat 0 Posted September 3, 2006 I'd do it. Boldin is a major upgrade over Galloway. Bledsoe will be fine and TO will be great and make Glenn & Witten even better. Worse case, you have to pick up Romo. Whoever it is has great targets to work with. Rackers = upgrade With the trade of Duckett, Dunn is the man.

waliguy 0 Posted September 3, 2006 Do this. Bledsoe will throw this year, probably more than Mcnabb will. Dunn can plug in for Portis early, and either start or flex or bye week MUCH better than Kevin Jones. Boldin will upgrade your WR, and definately be assurance that you'll have three great WRs. mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=227749
Ray_T 784 Posted September 3, 2006 I dont like the deal Bledsoe could throw more yards than McNabb, but there is definitely more risk in a player like him. what if TO gets hurt or suspended? and Bledsoe hasnt consistantly been a top 5 QB overall. Hes actually had some godawful years. McNabb has consistantly been a top 5 QB in the league every year except last year (due to injury) and many of those years were with terrible receivers. To me, that says something about the quality of a player you are looking at here. you're downgrading your RB significantly in my opinion as well. you're also getting a slight upgrade on the WR position but I dont think this is worth what you're losing in other positions. as for kickers? their value is not significant enough to make a huge difference in the trade even if it is an upgrade. I'd say dont do this deal.
