Is porter worth bench spot?

Recommended Posts

My team is in my signature. Now porter is #4 WR. Is he worth BN spot? or should I pick up mould, jennings (I also have DD) or Curry? he is still FA.

either porter or moulds. i'd stick w/porter since he's in a much better offense and curry's banged up. w/curry hurt and gab. gone he's gotta be involved.

I like Moulds here, he is a proven WR let go for money reasons not performance & looking for a new start. He's played in all but 5 games in his 10 years & avg about 900 yds last 3 seasons and good for about 15 yd/catch. Without much of a running threat in Houston, he could be a good pickup.

If you keep Driver then add Porter or Curry. Is Kevin Curtis a FA? He was money last year at the end of the year. I just picked up Winslow Jr as FA. Is he available? High risk but even higher reward if he comes thru.

I'm not a big Driver fan so I'd pickup Jennings. The Pack will be throwing from behind all year so chances are good. Everything written about Jennings seems positive.

I'd go with Moulds. As a buffalo fan his production dropped off more because of his lousy relationships with the team than because of his skill level. I'm looking for it to be back up at a level that will contribute to fantasy.

if have driver, leave jennings alone...no sense in wasting 2 roster spots on same team.....Porter could emerge as a great option( we know he has the potential) if he could get out of shell's dog house......I really like Stallworth as WR 2 or 3 this season if he is still available

You're pretty deep at WR. I think that you could stay put and fair alright. Porter is in the doghouse right now, but I think he has more talent, by far, than the other options the Raiders have.

If it comes down to it, WW could help with the addition of Moulds. Every even numbered year he's been in the league, he's averaged 1250 yds; odd numbered years he averages 750 yards. I think that Houston will be throwing the ball a lot too.

Jennings would be my pick. That kid will make some noise with DD double covered. He holds onto the ball, runs after the catch and seems use his head. Moulds would be my next pick.

Thanks for the advice on mine.

I'm going to second Jennings. As a Bears fan I hear nothing but how good Jennings is going to be from the local Packer contingent. He does look pretty good though, I have to admit.

I've ridden the Jerry Porter bus before and it's not worth the headache. Drop Porter and grab Jennings before he becomes a waiver wire lottery pick.

Thanks for answering mine!

If Porter is really is a #4 then he must go (that will probably change-he will end up the #2). From what you've mentioned their is no one worth dropping Porter for.

i'd keep porter for now also... though i doubt i'd start him with the other WRs you have. watch moulds, but i don't think he'll post quality numbers.

i think that your pretty set at WR right now. if it cost you money to do a waiver i would hold off for now, but if it doesn't and you need a guy then i would go with Moulds. he may be old but the man can catch. i would just hope J.P. Losman comes with some game this year!!!

I'd go with Moulds as I have him on my team. I think AJ is still the focus for the defenses to stop, and I like Moulds to have a solid WR3 season with the possibility of WR2 numbers. It all hinges on keeping Carr on his feet. He is serviceable at QB when he has time, he is awful when he doesn't.

Thanks for the reply on team defenses. I went with NE.

I have the same problem.

I need someone to start over S. Smith, and I have Porter and Lelie on my bench.

I'm thinking about dropping Porter and picking up Bobby Engram(and starting him)
