Recommended Posts

Between the 2 studs .. Steve Smith and Clinton Portis .. who do you think will come back strong and produce huge numbers as they are supposed to?

Please leave links. I will answer all as always

i agree, portis will be back soon, probably this weekend, and he will dominate as he did before. smith i am not so sure about, i have a feeling this will linger all year and he will be the bust of 2006

I'm leaning toward smith... the panthers will get it clicking late...

they have in the past...

and portis is going headfirst into defenders all year.

I like Portis. I hope Smith comes back and has a great year because I have Jake, but I tend to put more faith into running backs being able play through injuries and to score points. .

Sorry for the delay - yours came in after i turned my comp off.

I'd lean toward Smith. Portis has a cake game next week, so easy it could be argued he's not needed so they could rest him. The next game is the Jags - not a good play. Then they have a bye. You could argue Portis has no value until 4 weks from now. On top of that his team is in turmoil and that could effect his numbers.

Smith is only hampered by the leg. Once that is healed everything is good going forward.

Thanks for mine.
