throttlers 0 Posted October 20, 2006 I have Palmer and Leftwich at QB. I like Lefty's schedule the rest of the year and I'm thinking of dealing Palmer and a RB for a better RB. My RB's are R.Brown, C.Taylor, McAllister and B.Jacobs. I put some players on the block and I have a guy interested. He has offered my 2 deals that I rejected: Plummer and Caddy or Favre and T.Jones for Palmer and Chester. I countered with Palmer for S-Jax straight up and he declined. I thought about offering Palmer and Chester for S-Jax. That would leave me an empty roster spot to pick up a TE off waivers. I need a bye replacement for Heap. Would I be giving up to much? bobpate17 0 Posted October 20, 2006 I would do it at this point. palmer doesn't seem to be getting any better and his schedule is not that pretty either. S-jax has been stud so far. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=245720
prostollo 0 Posted October 20, 2006 I think you would be overpaying alittle but if you want SJackson go for it sometimes you have to over pay a little to get who you want
bluethunder 0 Posted October 20, 2006 I'm a big Palmer fan and have him starting on my team. But, I've struggled with keeping him as my starter even with Delhomme. If I were you, I would go ahead and get Jackson to be your premier RB. While, I think Palmer has the potential to have higher scoring weeks than Leftwich, he also has a brutal schedule coming up. Melvinbet 5 Posted October 20, 2006 I guess I don't really understand what you guys are thinking about Palmer and C. Taylor being "overpaying" for S. Jax. There are several QB's better than Palmer in fantasy value (name and past performance are not fantasy value), and Chester is an average to maybe slightly above average fantasy back. S. Jax is a near top fantasy RB. If you get him to give you S. Jax for Palmer and C. Taylor, that is great for you, but that offer would definitely be declined in my league. Just my opinion. Free Willis 0 Posted October 20, 2006 I think you are giving up a little too much. SJax is not that much better than Taylor to have to include Palmer. I would find a lower tier player to include in the trade instead. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=245869

throttlers 0 Posted October 20, 2006 The real question is how well will Taylor do the rest of the year with a pretty good schedule.
lynnstrait 0 Posted October 20, 2006 It sounds like I disagree with most, but I think you're giving up a little bit too much. I know you can afford to give up Palmer, but I'm not sold that SJax is that much better than Chester. Chester has one of the best schedules for the rest of the year (I think he faces only like 1 top 10 rush D or something) and the Vikings will continue to give him the rock. sdc90291 0 Posted October 20, 2006 I think you're overpaying a bit too much. Have faith... Palmer and Taylor will come around thanks for answering mine!
PiRadii 0 Posted October 20, 2006 If you're sold on Lefty, then I would probably go for Favre and Jones, especially if you don't get penalized for turnovers...if you do, then I'd stand pat and scour the waiver wire for a breakout RB, like Leon Washington...maybe in a few weeks for him....maybe. As for the Jackson deal, counter with a lesser RB instead of Taylor.
PRuggs 0 Posted October 20, 2006 I agree Leftwich is pretty equal with palmer given the schedule... so you are upgrading your RB which is a good trade. Please see mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=245889
lord_majesty 0 Posted October 20, 2006 Well, since Palmer isn't doing the greatest and Taylor isn't doing to bad. It seems like you're giving up a little too much I would try to give a lower tier rb but, then again qbs aren't really that important in FF like Running backs. Thanks for answering mine.
