bgard72 10 Posted October 24, 2006 Guys, I need your opinion on whether I should do the trade or counter it with something else. I start 1 QB, 2 RB's, 3 WR's, 1 TE and 1 DEF. My team is in my sig below. I would like an upgrade to my current TE of Alex Smith. The guy I am dealing with also has Desmond Clark, who I like as well but prefer Shockey. I used Maurice Jones-Drew as my #2 RB last week, and he outperformed Freddie last week in points. I might feel comfortable using him as my #2 back anyway from here on out. My thoughts are I try to get him to take Fred Taylor because of this. Then I have either Foster or Jones-Drew to choose from for the #2 RB spot. Do you guys like Foster or Taylor better in the long run? Foster has gotten me 54 points so far, Taylor 63. OR would you say I stand pat and try to pick up Chris Cooley on the waiver wire? Thanks! JackARoot 2 Posted October 24, 2006 Thanks for answering mine. Sorry, didn't look at the title of your thread so I'm changing my answer. I'd go ahead and trade Foster for Shockey.
bobpate17 0 Posted October 24, 2006 Actually I would do this trade. it seems like Eli is spreading the ball around and foster is only good untill william comes back and then they will be sharing carries again. but then u would have to take chances with Drew-jones and taylor. foster is good for temp help and shockey is good for rest of the season. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=247321
bflodan 0 Posted October 24, 2006 I agree with picking up Cooley. He is being targeted just as much as Clark and maybe more if Moss is out? Fosters value is solid with Williams on the shelf for awhile. Keep him. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=247322
Ryedog 0 Posted October 24, 2006 I would stand pat. Cooley has been finding the endzone of late and he came on strong late last year as well!
kwconch 0 Posted October 24, 2006 Thanks for answering mine. I would not do this trade. If you had another decent RB option I might do it but try and grab someone off waivers like cooley...
jbizzle06 2 Posted October 24, 2006 I would do this trade b/c you already have rb depth, you can start Jackson and Jones-Drew and be fine. And then you also upgrade your TE position. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=247330
enjoi525 0 Posted October 24, 2006 I wouldn't trade a starting RB for a TE.
Colo_Bills_Fan 0 Posted October 24, 2006 It just boils down to how much value you want to put into the TE spot. Remember, you have to consider Washington's current situation and how long Gibbs' leash on Brunell is before he puts in Campbell. That would downgrade Cooley's stock. Then again, he might turn into a safety valve, so that goes both ways. You seem set at RB, like in the earlier posts. If you can afford to wait until Washington returns from the bye week, see how things develop with the Skins offense. Remember, Cooley caught 3 TD passes the last time Dallas came calling. Thanks for mine.
ONESOLO8 0 Posted October 24, 2006 I would do this trade, Jones Drew is a good #2....and Shockey would definitely uprade you Can you answer mine? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...=247351&hl= Thanks

nosferatu9368 0 Posted October 24, 2006 I would not do this trade. Pick up Cooley, you never know when Shockey is gonna suffer another minor injury to hold him back a couple weeks. MoJo has been good but i'm not sure I trust him as an every week starter. Foster is the main back in Carolina and was even when Williams was healthy. Good Luck thanks for answering mine Peace... mmeds1228 0 Posted October 24, 2006 I would stay put........Cooley is a good midseason pickup........Foster is going to improve I think, now that he has the chance to carry the load. Thanks!
monkeysthrowpoo 0 Posted October 24, 2006 I too would stand pat... I just think your giving away too much. Entirely different situation in a 2 for 2 trade where where you upgrade you WR also. Hopefully hes strong at WR and you can kill two birds with one stone while still getting fair value. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=247378
