Trade Peyton Manning ? ( part 2 )

Recommended Posts

Ok...I need a little advice:

League Starts : QB,RB,RB,WR,WR,TE,W/T, K , D ....team is 4-3 ( 12 teams )

I have : QB: Manning ( strength of team )

RB: Portis,T.Jones,C.Benson,M.BarberIII,D.Williams (lots of underachievement)

WR:R.Williams,B.Edwards,J.Horn,I.Bruce ( nothing special )

TE : Gates, LJ Smith ( good trade bait )

K: Vinatieri

D : Dallas

I've been offered : S.Alexander & C. Palmer

for

Manning, J. Horn

Upgrade : Likely BIG @ RB , and a drop off @ QB ...

What do I do ???

Please offer advice as the deal is just about done ! ( will respond to yours !! )

little risky, but sounds like a good deal to me. you will take a small downgrade at qb and receiver, SA's upside is worth taking a chance on him.

I think I would do it. It's a risk with SA, but if he comes back strong, you made a huge upgrade at RB. PLUS, if you're making a playoff run, Manning could end up sitting during FF playoffs and Palmer may be playing. On the flip side of that, SA could be sitting as well if Sea is up, but with Hasselbeck out, that may not be the case. Then try to move LJ for a decent WR if possible. Worst case, move Gates for a top WR and coast into the playoffs!

Do it.

Thanks for the help. What are the playoff schedules for both Palmer and Peyton? I think that Cincy has a pretty rough schedule coming up, not sure about the last few weeks though. And I know SA is great, but he didn't do too much when healthy and his O-Line isn't opening up anything for morris (maybe it's cause morris just sucks) But I would think long and hard on this and weigh the playoff schedules of all players in question

Do it. You only have 1 RB, so Alexander really helps you out.

No - this is an owner who has probably turned down prior offers during SA;s injury and now is losing faith because Hass is out. He could be right. SA was not doing much before the injury (well, for him anyway). Peyton's guaranteed, SA is not. 4-3 is not bad, no reason to panic.
