I have been offered two trades. Take one or sit pat?

 

1) I give Addai for H. Ward

2) give Addai and C. Henry for Bolden and Braylon Edwards

 

 

My team:

QB: Bulger

RB: Westbrook, Barber, Dunn, Addai

WR: S. Smith, San. Moss, C. Henry, Branch, Cothchery

 

Any advice much appreciated.

Of the two, I'd probably go after Hines Ward. I think your RB situation is pretty strong, but your receivers need help, and I'd take Ward over Boldin (inconsistent QB play) and Braylon...

I would stay put .. your team is pretty balance and depth is also good right now.. trading away Addai will jeopardize your RB depth.

With the team you have, you would need a lot of things to go wrong before Addai would see the field.

 

I think either of those trades is good, but the first deal gives you more value. If you want to trade away Henry, you can do so in a separate deal.

 

In my opinion, there can only be so many top end WR's in Cincy, and I figure once Chad Johnston gets on his game either Henry Or Housh (or both) will see a sizeable dropoff in production.

 

remember the year everyone jumped on the Stokely bandwagon to find he was a one year wonder who played with manning during a very magical season. This may be a similar case, but I would expect this to be a short lived situation.

 

find someone who wants him, and who is willing to pay. then sell while his stock is high.

I don't think I'd trade for either of the deals posted. You have a very balanced team, with good depth at running back and reasonable depth at WR (3 players who are good matchup plays in Branch, Henry and Moss) I'm not a huge fan of Moss or Henry, but I'm not so sure that Hines Ward is a much better play than either of them with everything going on in Pitt right now. That Ward deal is probably better, but if I were going to deal I'd actually do the latter - if I'm making that trade, I'm looking for something unusual to happen, and I figure Bolden/Edwards probably have a better shot at finding 1 of the 2 going off than Ward. You know what you're getting.

 

Really, I don't think I'd do either. Keep shopping Addai - he's a good enough back, and you've got enough RB depth, that you can and *should* get something more valuable.
