Dillon for Brees..TRADE help needed...

Recommended Posts

I have Palmer and Carr and am looking to upgrade...

Guy has Bulger and Brees and is desperate for RB and WR help(he has already put Brees up on the table)

I am thinking Dillon,Carr,Glenn and my 9th round pick(we are in a continual league that allows trading next years draft picks) for Brees, Marion Barber and his 6th round pick.

Does this seem fair? Or am I giving up too much? too little?

[NOTE: I only need to start 1 RB...and would still have S Jackson,Foster Maroney and M Barber ...my other WRs would be A Johnson,Stallworth, Fitzgerald,Berrian,Gabriel, and Furrey]

Sounds fair to me Breez is solid. Since your giving more players than him see if you can get a 5th rounder instead of the 6th!!!!!

Also note that Fitz and Glenn are banged up...

I like the trade Brees is nice and consistent... So far...

didnt really give him much in terms of RB WR though if he knows any better...

Barber finds the end zone but doesnt start

Glenn is hurt and would have to invade the T.O. Romo love fest...

Good for you though

No chance you could convince the guy to hang on to Brees and snag Bulger? Brees is very good, but Bulger's looked like the next best quarterback in the league (for FFL, at least) behind the big two.

If you do get Brees, though, it should be an upgrade at the position. Glenn's a bit much to send away, though, considering you're already tossing in Dillon (who is pretty startable right now at least) and only getting back a guy who averages about 8 touches a game rushing/receiving combined. Plus, after Faulk screwed up big-time against the Colts, look for him to get phased out of the offense for the Pats, which means Dillon and Maroney probably get more time on the field in 3rd-down situations (receptions, whooo).

You already have Maroney so you can afford to lose Dillon as long as the former doesn't get hurt (*knock on wood*), but like some of the other posters have said you should see if you can't get him to bump his draft pick up a spot or two.
