Wayne Fontes 0 Posted November 9, 2006 I'm in a scoring only league (6pt 0-9yds, 9pt 10-39 yds, 12pt 40+yds) and I'm looking to prime for the stretch. Should I trade Gore/Housh for KJones/Kennison? Here's my team right now (1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE) QB - Manning, McNair RB - LJohnson, Addai, Gore, Lundy WR - Wayne, Housh, RMoss, CHenry, DGabriel, DHenderson TE - LJ Smith, J Stevans It would really be a move to solidfy my starting backfield, as I really like Gore and Addai, but neither scores much, while KJones is rolling with Martz running the show in Detroit. I lose Housh though and I'm not sure I can replace that production at WR. As you can see, I'm pretty torn here....
NorthernVike 2,087 Posted November 9, 2006 Thanks for the response to mine. Now onto yours. Could you have asked a harder ? Its a tough call but I think I'd do it. The improvement at RB is huge. Det may suck as a team but their skill players are scoring points for us FF'ers. KC is starting to roll and I think Kennison will benifit from it at some point. I'm not as high on Gore as some and the loss of Hush certianly could hurt but overall you will come out ahead. Good luck Skol

Stating the obvious, whenever you can't tell who is getting the better end of the trade, it's probably a pretty fair trade. That having been said, I'd probably pull the trigger because it upgrades your backfield. Although, I'm not sure how much KC is going to throw the ball in the second half. Tough decision, but I'd lean towards pulling the trigger.
loki993 0 Posted November 9, 2006 thanks for youre answer. I think you should go with it. I have KJ on my team and he has become my #1 RB in alexanders absense. I could only imagine whre id be if SA would have stayed healthy. anyway LJ and KJ will give you a nice 1 2 punch at RB. yes the loss of housh will hurt a bit but i believe the upgrade at RB is worth it. take a look at my other one kindof a late development: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=251855
drewmarquis 0 Posted November 9, 2006 i would go for it... your WR's will be a little weaker but with kevin jones your running game will be great... he is one of 2 options detroit has to score along with roy williams so he's definitely going to get his fair share of carries the rest of the season thanks for mine
veebs4 2 Posted November 9, 2006 I would do it as well... KJ is going nuts with Martz and a serviceable QB in the backfield. If you are ballsy, you could then try to upgrade WR with an Addai package. I don't see many situations right now where you would sit KJ for Addai (except of course injury). Please see mine.
The Shoog 0 Posted November 9, 2006 Take the trade...Jones is playing well...Housh has become one of 3 options now (and with Ocho Cinco complaining that he isn't getting the looks, I'd expect him to see a few more). You'll win games with your RB's...you could start back-ups at the other positions and be fine. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=252104
Son of Squirrel 0 Posted November 9, 2006 I agree with all. Jones will get plenty more chances to score. Probably more than Gore and Housh will combined.
AHill84006 0 Posted November 9, 2006 I'd say do it. K Jones will get you a whole lot more than Gore IMO. Housh will get his, but Palmer is struggling right now. Overall I think you come out better in this trade. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=252123
Wayne Fontes 0 Posted November 9, 2006 just looking for a few more...My head says yes on this deal and my gut says no....
aauhoops33 0 Posted November 9, 2006 i say stay put, housh is better than kennison, and gore will be close to jones http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=252190
nosferatu9368 0 Posted November 9, 2006 I wouldn't do it. Losing Housh hurts your WR depth alot and you can just play match-ups with Gore and Addai the rest of the year. When Indy clinches home field throughout they will pass less and run more thus making Addai a very good option. Good Luck Peace...
mrcharlie 0 Posted November 9, 2006 I wouldn't do it. You can not afford to lose Housh. Especially for Eddie Kennison. I really don't feel Jones outweighs Gore by that much. As stated before when Indy clinches they will run more. That makes you even that much worse at reciver with Wayne being your #1. see mine...thanks
Wayne Fontes 0 Posted November 9, 2006 so, now every answer is don't do it, while before lunch it was do it...hmmmm
CNudd 0 Posted November 10, 2006 thanks for mine i would do the move. kevin jones has been awesome the last few games and i think gore is startin to fade. i think cincy is gonna start to get the ball to ocho cinco more and that means less housh!
