A. Thomas vs A. Green

I really can not decide who should I start as my number 2:

 

A. Green vs Minnesota

 

A. Thomas vs Indy

 

Everyone I have talked to this week has been split, can I have a strong argument as to whom is the better play?

The problem is...there are really strong arguments for and against both...

 

Green is the vet, but is going up against a great run D

 

thomas has a better matchup...but they could be out of it early.

 

So here is my advice:

 

1)I am assuming your #1 Rb is a stud.

2)judging from the fact that Favre ALWAYS PLAYS BAD IN MINNESOTA...I just don't expect much from the Pack

and 3) Jauron will run even if his team is down by 30 at halftime...

 

 

I think you should take a chance on the A-Train...go with Thomas.

Tough one, Minnesota has a tough run defense and they are playing at home. That scares me when it comes to Ahman Green.

 

Anthony Thomas is a backup running back for a reason. Just because he is now starting doesn't mean he is a great play . Indy should go up big against Buffalo, making the running game a non-factor.

 

In saying all this, I would go Ahman Green.

This is a coin flip. But several things.

 

Favre does not always play bad in Minnesota. He was stellar in the dome two years ago, and he had his best game of this year at Detroit. All of that being said. When in doubt play your proven player. Who knows how they will us Thomas, (look at the M. Morris situation in Seattle)

I did some research and NaturalLights is right...Favre plays pretty good in Minny (don't know where I heard otherwise)

 

I still am going with thomas though...Indy's run D is that bad.

I would go with Thomas. No one has run v. Minnesota. Look at last two games, SF and New England did nothing.

 

Indy is bad v. run. Only problem is if the game is 21-0 after 1st quarter.

You got to go with the A- train and hope that they stay in the game awhile. The vikes dont give up nothing on the ground and i think favre will be throwing all day. The vikes are gonna roll the the packers. Start the A- Train. thanks for mine

Close one here but you have to go Green considering he catches the ball out of the backfield. So even if Minny is running up the score, he will get touches either way.

 

A. Thomas and Buffalo will be behind most of the day for sure.

I echo comments about A-Train being a backup (see D. Rhodes and M. Morris)...I would go with Green since he will get more touches and has better chance of breaking for one regardless of the run defense he is going against.
