Pick 2 RBs: T.Jones, F.Taylor, M. Barber, B. Jacobs, DeAngelo

Recommended Posts

My RB situation is a disgrace. I've got T.Jones, Fred Taylor and DeAngelo with Marion Barber and Brandon Jacobs available on the wire. Pick 2, cause I can't. They're all trash.

They are all decent just not superstars. I would just play Jones and Taylor. If you have someone weak to dump for MBIII I would do it!!!!!

Well I can't exactly speak for all leagues because mine is TD heavy, but MBIII is quite frankly a monster pick-up in any sort of TD heavy league (in mine, point per 20 yds rush/rec, he's the #8 scoring RB). He's averaging a TD/gm, so there's very little reason not to pick him up if you have any sort of roster space.

you have to go with Marion Barber and DeAngelo Williams. With DeShaun Foster injured, he's going to be getting all the carries on a team with a very good offense against a BANGED UP philly team. Marion Barber is a TD monster, and although sharing time with Julius Jones, gives great numbers consistently. The Giants have been prone to give up good points to RB's too. Look at how badly Travis Henry tore em up last week.

Use my advice or not, but think about this. DON'T play Thomas Jones for anything. Minnesota has the number one rush defense in the nfl and give them nothing to work with. Teams play minny with tons of pass plays. Note the Arizona game, when Edge got only like 5 carries all game. Fred Taylor is a good choice, but splits time with Maurice Jones-Drew, and against Miami, which usually plays teams tight against the rush, it doesn't look good. Brandon Jacobs could work, but only because he's THE goal line back. Not consistent enough though, and the offense is struggling.

My philosophy is always go with the starters that are guaranteed to get the ball a lot. Jacobs is a big risk but Barber isn't as big of a risk as he is used consistently, just not full time. Still, I'd go with Jones and Taylor.

Thanks for answering mine.
