Who to Keep, pt 2?

Recommended Posts

As you can see, pickings are slim here. Which of the 2 would you hold over?

Bonus pts for distance TD's, and bonus when a player player eclipses 100 yds.

I am picking in the 9th in the upcoming draft, so i feel as though i'm kinda screwed this upcoming year

A Green

C Taylor

R Wayne

Cad Williams

I've also been offered C Portis for my 7th round selection, which seems like a good deal, but i absolutely hate giving away picks.

Thanks in advance....

post yours and i will respond.

I'd keep Wayne and Cadillac.

Cadillac's problem This season was due to problems with the O-Line, not a lack of talent or ability.

however, portis for a 7th is good value I think, and he is keepable.

I like Wayne and Caddy as keepers, but parlaying a 7th rounder into Portis sounds good too. Maybe if that gets done you can send one of your other backs out for a pick in return and try to re-coup something.

If you get to keep two, I'd trade that 7th round pick for Portis and keep Portis and Chester. Most folks will keep RB's with their picks and you can probably draft Wayne back with your 1st rounder if you really like him. I think Portis and Chester will be drafted in the 1st round, because that is essentially the 3rd round (2 keepers being rounds 1&2) which is good value for both of those guys.

dude, you're mad!!!

If you spend the draft pick to get portis, you keep him and cadillac. I'd say cadillac has far more potential than Chester.

I agree that Cadillac has far more potential than Chester. It's a matter of how much risk you are willing to take with your keepers.

Do you think Tampa will have it together enough on offense/defense to give Caddy enough carries, and if he gets the carries does he stay healthy? The Bucs are old on defense and have issues with their O-Line. Caddy also has Pittman to share carries with and I'm not sure if Alstott has retired.

Chester has a solid defense and good o-line in front of him. However, his QB/WR's are not going to be very good so he'll see stacked lines. Chester has MeMo to share time with, but MeMo is more of the 3rd down back.

Ultimately, I think the Minnesota D is better than Tampa's D. Tampa's offense will be better with the addition of Garcia in the QB mix and potentially Calvin Johnson at WR.

I don't think taking Chester over Caddy certifies me as "mad", I just think Chesters lowside is higher than Caddys and Caddy's highside is higher than Chesters. If I'm drafting in the first two rounds, I tend to stick with the safer picks, and picking two keeps is equivalent to the first two rounds of the draft.
