roster help

My team is my signature

 

12 team keeper league, (keep 3)

 

We start 2 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Kicker and one defense.

 

my WR's are:

 

Plaxico Burress-weak value now that Eli is hurt

Chambers-possibly good value now that Miami actually has a pro QB in there

Curtis: also possibly good value

Mushin Muhammad

Jerry Porter

 

possible pickups include:

 

Avant & Baskett (philly WR's who havnt shown a lot yet)

Patrick Crayton (dallas)

Shaun McDonald (det)

Brandon Jones (Ten)

Drew Bennett

Reggie Williams

Michael Clayton

Nate Burlson

Ashley Lele

 

I dont expect any of these guys will be picked up immediately, so I have time to wait.....

 

and I'd like to see if Porter can do anything with Culpepper at QB and I also want to see if Muhammad can do anything as well....

 

so for now I'm standing pat but would like to see if anyone thinks one of the above players is a good candidate to replace any of my starters.

 

I'd like to have a short list so that if any of my WR's gets hurt or sucks bad, I can jump in and grab someone quickly.

 

any opinions here?

Not a PPR? If it was I might consider Macdonald. Keep an eye on him--he could be a Wes Welker type WR.

 

I'm not crazy about Muhammed (age and Grossman) but there aren't tons of guys on the waiver wire that could produce more than he will.

 

Crayton might be another especially if Glenn misses significant time.

Yeah, Crayton was one of the guys on the inside track. The other is Bennett. if Bruce hits the wall due to age, I'd expect him to jump in and be the #2 guy and I would bet on him to produce if this happens.... but I'm not ready to committ to him yet.

 

but I'd still like some more opinions from some of you guys.

Out of the guys you listed I would keep an eye on Crayton, because Glenn is out, but it seems like Dallas will be using their TE more this year.

 

I like Bennett as the WR3 with Bulger a solid QB throwing to him, and he will replace Bruce at number 2 if he under performs.

 

Another guy I would watch is Burleson, because Hackett is out and they were competing for the WR2 job during preseason. If Burleson can produce with Hackett out I would assume he will keep the role when Hackett returns. I am also not sold on Branch being a number 1. He has never been a number 1 before.

 

I wouldn't pay much attention to McDonald, because there are too many other weapons in Detriot.

 

Watch Crayton, Bennett, Burleson.

Drop Muhammed and get Crayton. Muhammed is worthless if Grossman plays, he never looks for him, especially in the red zone...
