Boomer2 0 Posted October 6, 2007 Owner needs help at rb, his starters are Maroney and Henry. His backup is Norwood I'm trying to improve my wr's I offered him Selvin Young and Lamont Jordan for Housh. Leaves me w/ Addai and Edge and Kevin Jones as #3. I'm trying to be fair yet not cut into my backs to deep. Fair/not fair

escot4 0 Posted October 6, 2007 What? That's way too much to give up. You have great depth at RB now, but that trade would leave you very thin there, and any injury to Addai or Edge would be crippling to you. It helps his team too much. 2 RBs who get a lot of touches for 1 WR is not a good deal. LaMont for TJ could work, but who are your other receivers anyway? You might be better off just sticking with what you have. Stockpiling RBs is a great thing to do since it leaves other teams with crappy RBs.
ben4uf 0 Posted October 6, 2007 i dont think it is unfair because it should help both teams..i think you would get the better end overall though because we arent sure what selvin will do (will mike bell get carries?) and lamont jordan is hurt and rhodes is now back. i say give it a shot, hope he accepts and others dont veto. please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=293810

My thoughts are, don't know what Youngs role will be, heard everything from starter to change of pace back. Could very well be the man but a big question mark. Jordan is ding up, put was putting up big numbers prior to. Looks like risk/reward but you are right, leave me thin at rb....
escot4 0 Posted October 6, 2007 In terms of the players' abilities it may be fair, but I think it leaves you with a lack of depth at RB. Are you in a PPR league? That would make a big difference because receivers get a big boost in value if you are. If not, I wouldn't do it.
nicewolf64 0 Posted October 6, 2007 As a Housh owner, there's no way I even consider that trade. No idea how long Henry can drag this thru the courts. Even then, there's no guarentee that Young doesnt go into a RBBC situation. Lamont's schedule gets alot harder and Rhodes is back not to mention a back injury that has bothered him for awhile. TJ is officially a stud now.

My number 2 back would get muddy for awhile but Housh puts Edge #s.

His rbs are maroney and henry w/ norwood on the bench His wr's are TO and Housh with Curtis as backup I'm actually leaning toward this route. I'd like to package Edge and McNabb for Kitna/Housh

I'd like to package Edge and McNabb for Kitna/Housh thats a HUGE dropoff from Housh to Curtis. I think I'd barely reject James for Housh and throwing in the QBs would majorly kill it. I'll take the consistency of Kitna over McNabb this year. McNabb will lose you as many games as he wins for you. How does a team only have 3 RBs and 3 WRs?? He would need to see if Lamont is healthy first. But if he is that desperate than he might. Housh is a beast, I made the mistake of trading him early on

Kitna's on a bye next week and I don't think he can make plans having Henry. He's currently 1-3 so he knows its getting to that point of the season. If he rejects it I may come back to include Coles
Buffettguy77 0 Posted October 6, 2007 No way I trade both for Housh. He's a great #2 WR, but Young is the heir apparent to a system that produces 1000 yard backs like you can find them every day. Jordan has been a great producer this year so far and is finally showing why he was so coveted as a runner on the free agent market. Offer one and a lesser WR for Housh. Don't kill your depth. As I stated above, I've offered Edge/Mcnabb straight up for Kitna/Housh If he accepts my roster will look like this QB Start 1 Kitna/Cambell Rb Start 2 Addai/Jones/jordon/Selvin young/Rhodes/Keith Wr Start 2 Housh/Fitz/Coles /Engram As you can see my number 2 back will have to work itself out but I think I have the depth to make this work.... Yes/Non?????
