ERZER 0 Posted August 9, 2008 First, this is a standard scoring league but we have 14 teams with the potential for 3 keepers; serpentine draft. I did well enough last year that I don't have to play, but outside of Colston and Romo, I don't consider the rest of the team to be keepers. Only one's I'd keep: Romo - I think his star will continue to rise and as the top Tier 2 QB, I hate to risk him, but B. Jacobs - last year didn't give me much confidence Colston - normally an under rated player If I drop all of them, I have a chance to begin building with McFadden & Forte (I think he is not getting the recognition he deserves) and could still be able to pick up any of the three in the 3rd & 4th. In our league, if you keep three, you have to wait till all owners are up to three prior to picking. So as the 12th team, I would jump to the number one team if everybody keeps at least one player. Am I under valuing my keepers?
philibuster01 0 Posted August 9, 2008 I don't totally understand your leagues rules, but from what I can understand it seems to me like keeping Romo and Colston would be a good idea. Romo and Colston are both just entering their primes and will be in the top 5 at their respective positions for the next 3-5 years, IMO. Rebuilding with McFadden and Forte is tempting but I would rather have the relatively sure things of Romo and Colston as opposed to the chance of McFadden and Forte becoming fantasy studs. i could use some advice too http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=318126
gocolts 300 Posted August 9, 2008 The only player I would even consider keeping under these rules is Jacobs. I would just drop all three and take the picks.
bjlmonster 0 Posted August 10, 2008 I voted to only keep Jacobs. You can draft Romo and Colston with your 2nd and 3rd picks. You then have a better shot at guys that were cut. If they are better than Romo and Colston, draft them, if not draft your guys back!
