Rate my team-14 team league

Recommended Posts

Had 11th pick in 14 team draft:

QB-D Brees, J Russell

RB-T Jones, L White, L Betts, R Rice, S Slaton, L Washington

WR-T Owens, K Curtis, D Bowe, C Chambers, N Washington

TE-Z Miller

K-K Brown

D/ST-Patriots

Hoping Favre opens things up for Jones. Also hoping one of the two rookies (Rice or Slaton) ends up grabbing a job and doing well. I think it's a middle of the pack team. Thoughts?

BTW, someone may give me Braylon Edwards for LenDale White. I could then go 4 WR and just start 1 RB (Jones). Opinion on doing that would be appreciated as well.

I was in the same boat as you. I had the 12th pick in my 14 team league.

QB's - Solid I think with Brees

RB's - Jones will do better with Favre, plus with an improved offensive line. But if something happens to him, you did a good job handcuffing with Washington. As for the trade for Edwards, I would do it. It will of course leave you really weak at RB but his stats will be better than Lendale's IMHO. As for Rice, it looks like Mcgahee is hurt and Rice is moving up the depth chart. Green and Brown are hurting for the Texans, so only Chris Taylor is in front of Slaton, so may mean more opportunities for Slaton.

WR's - Owens is solid. Too bad Curtis is hurt though, if Desean Jackson is available, you might pick him up?

TE's - Miller is a sleeper...good pick.

K and Def-Both nice pick ups as well.

Good luck!

If you have the option to only start 1 RB, I'd say go for the trade. Braylon has a good shot to end the season as the #1 or #2 WR in the league, with some of that of course depending on Anderson.

Overall, solid team. The RB situation would worry me though. Better hope some of the sleepers pan out.
