vegemite 0 Posted September 21, 2008 In a .5ppr league, 10yds=1 pt, TD = 6pts I have the following WRs and need to pick two, one is obvious, the rest is a toss up with some good matchups. I am 1-1 going against a divisonal opponent. Wayne - he is the definite Royal - going against NO in what should be a shoot out Cotchery - at SD is Favre going to pass as much as Den did last week against SD Chambers - Monday night against NYJ Williams - against SF and there suspect pass defense, plus is DET going to get the ball to him B Johnson - against DET defense which has been extremely pourous. So Wayne plus who? My other starters, Roethlisberger Bush/Jacobs (pobably going Bush in ppr) Johnson Witten Crosby
We Tigers 71 Posted September 21, 2008 You've got a lot of choices, and none of them are bad. That said, I'd probably lean towards Roy Williams (SF's D isn't that great either, and he's a bit more proven than Bryant Johnson) or Cotchery. Cotchery's especially appealing if Coles ends up sitting--remember that he's questionable for Monday, and hasn't even clicked that well with Favre when he's not a bit banged up. Cotchery has become the #1 there, and Favre will have a much better chance of hitting him than he did last week against New England. The only reason I don't say Chambers is that I somewhat prefer Jackson in SD--yes, Chambers has the stats so far, but Jackson's getting more looks and may be more consistent over time. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...p;#entry3732111
mrgymrat 0 Posted September 21, 2008 Certainly Roy is the highest ranking WR to choose from but I am not sold on what the Lions have been doing so I would actually make him my 3rd choice (he hasn't done anything special for me in the first 2 weeks in the one league where I do have him). I would go with Royal or Chambers. Royal has the benefit of being opposite Brandon Marshall vs a questionable Saints DST while Chambers put up some big numbers last week. Two solid choices. harasenaid 0 Posted September 21, 2008 I'd go Chambers. Thanks for mine!
dcg 0 Posted September 21, 2008 Lots of good choices, but I'd go with Royal. Williams would be my second choice, Chambers my third. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=325171
MD Jet 0 Posted September 21, 2008 I'd go Wayne and Royal.
whahaa 0 Posted September 21, 2008 wow, lots of good choices. wayne is a no-brainer. the rest are pretty even, they're all tier2 wrs and no one can predict which will perform best in any given week. that said, i think i'd go with royal this week because the broncos have been so damn hot lately. ride it until they cool off. here's mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=325049
montana 89 Posted September 21, 2008 i like royal as well - gotta play the hot hand. you got a nice bunch of wrs there....i almost feel bad for you, as this will be a problem every week. see if you can get a package together 2 wrs & land another rb (imo). and btw - i'd still start jacobs over bush, regardless of the ppr (this week). 0021 0 Posted September 21, 2008 the right play is roy cotchery wayne.... a lot of royal momentum in this thread...but he had 30 yds receiving last week. i play a proven guy like roy over him 95% of the the time. I hate sitting there hoping a guy does something and that he's not a fluke. Roy is solid and should get the ball this week
