MikeyNavy 1 Posted November 8, 2008 Ok. I have some opportunities on some potential waiver pickups (obviously assuming someone else doesn't take them). League 1: My current running back situation is: Joseph Addai Reggie Bush Steve Slaton DeAngelo Williams Sammie Morris Tim Hightower The owner of Willis McGahee has just dropped him. Should I shoot to drop Sammie Morris to pick him up or do you think, long-term, Morris will be more productive when he returns from injury? Also, my QBs are Peyton and Trent Edwards. David Garrard is on waivers now. Would you take him as a backup over Edwards? League 2: Possible wide receiver strength possibility. I have: Braylon Edwards (everytime I play him he sucks, everytime I bench him he produces) Roddy White Lee Evans DeSean Jackson Donnie Avery Would you drop any of these for Antonio Bryant or Kevin Walter? League 3: Running back help again...thank you byes and injuries. I have Marion Barber Earnest Graham DeAngelo Williams Jonathan Stewart Jamaal Charles (had to pick him up and start him with Williams due to Graham/Barber byes and injuries) Ray Rice, Sammie Morris, Kevin Faulk, and Cedric Benson are all available. Should I stay where I'm at or take a risk and swap Jonathan Stewart out for one of them? Please leave link to yours!
Candygram4Mongo 8 Posted November 8, 2008 Damn, that's a lot of questions. Here goes..... I grab McGahee. When he's healthy, he's the horse in BAL. You'll never know where you stand with any NE running Back, who's starting, who's hurt, its not worth the aggravation. Garrard and Trent have very similar stats. The only difference is Garrards running ability (1 rush td). I wouldn't sweat it either way or make yourself nuts. I would say Garrard will have steadier numbers. Edwards may disappoint here or there, but is capable of putting up a huge day anytime with Evans et al. According to SOS, Edwards has a slightly easier road ahead, so that may be an edge. All of the WRs mentioned for team II are pretty equivalent. Without looking at the numbers I'd say Braylon has been the weakest one of the bunch. I love Bryant going forward. Graham is nicked up and they love to pass as it is. Bryant gets 10 targets a game. The only guy I would definitely not cut for him is Roddy. Any of the other would be fair to let go for Bryant. Maybe Avery is the one. He has the lightest track record and with SJax out, with find it tougher to get open. Though his SOS is sweet. I'd say cut Avery, or Braylon, but that would take big cajones. You have decent RB depth on team III. I would feel allright sticking with what you've got. I think I am going to cut Stew, but I don't have DeAngelo to back up. But if I was to pick up Rice ther, Charles or Stew would be the one to go. HTH. see mine plz http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=332358
sbas2k 0 Posted November 8, 2008 I'd get McGahee, keep all your wide receivers and keep all your existing running backs.
