Should I make these trades? WHIR

Trade 1: I trade Kolb and DJax for Newton and AJ Green

 

Trade 2: I trade V. Davis for either BJGE or Starks

 

Here's my roster. Standard 10-team, non-ppr.

 

QB Schaub, Kolb

RB Gore, D Will, Bush, Helu, Scott

WR Britt, DJax, Knox, Burleson, Decker, McCluster

TE V. Davis, Graham

D/ST Packers

Thanks for the reply. I don't really see an upside to the first trade. Newton may be better than Kolb at the moment but will it stay that big of a gap all year? Also you would be torn between Newton and Schaub each week. Djax is better than Green loss there. Deffinitely do the second trade. Graham is a great play and Vernon Davis is struggling. By getting Green Ellis or Starks you will be upgrading your backs immensely.

Trade 1: I wouldn't, it's risky trusting rookies, I think Newton will come back down to Earth and Green has a rookie QB throwing to him in a tough division.

 

Trade 2: I would, Graham is a good TE in a good offense with a great QB, I would feel confident in him as your starter if you can get a productive RB for a TE.

Agreed with everyone else, trade two I'd do, for Starks.

You got TE covered, so a booming RB would help you out.

Unless Newton stays hot, (doubt) I think 1 is a miss.

I agree with everyone else on trade 1. Newton has been great so far and if i had him i would be trading him to try to get someone else while he is hot. So no on trade 1. But Trade 2 i would def. try to get Starks he has shown that he can do the job. And that is why he is getting more touches.

I pretty much agree with everyone else. Trade one would be doable if you were in a Dynasty league but in a redraft I wouldn't do it.

The second one I would do for Starks.

I like both of those trades if you can pull them off. Kolb is your backup QB (to Schaub, right?). Why not reach for Newton's upside? I think it balances out the slight dropoff between DJax & Randy Moss Jr. (Green). Might be smart to wait until Cam has an off-week & then maybe you don't have to give up DJax to get him... Anytime you can give up a low TE1 to get a RB2 with upside is a good trade in my opinion. Especially this year, when TEs are plentiful so far...
