It seems like the Steelers whole roster operates on a rotation basis... Nobody knows who is gonna be the starting QB long term, or RB... Now their WRs are mixed up... Did they fire Tomlin and hire Belichick without me noticing?

SNF Discussion: Cowboys at Steelers - Week 5
polecatt replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
He may not. He's needed a boost to break out, I think that may have happened. Cooks won't go to the bench, but he may move to the slot more, when CeeDee isn't there that is. Cooks is very versatile, so he will adapt, but his career is winding down. Jump on the Jalen Tolbert bandwagon early -

This could be a bit of a break out game for Jalen Tolbert. His development has been pretty slow, but they drafted him to be a solid WR2 next to CeeDee. He has the tools to be just that. Definitely worth keeping an eye on going forward -
Excellent call! Tolbert- 7 catches, 87 yds, plus the winning TD Lamb- 5 catches, 62 yds

Need a big game from CeeDee Lamb... A couple of 50+ yd FGs from Boswell wouldn't hurt either -
38-38 Tie in OT. Lamar fumbles the snap. Bengals recover.

Is it safe to say yet that Breece Hall and Bijan Robinson were overhyped this season? -

It never is Rodgers fault -
I will say, if that is going to happen, this is the week for it

I've had leagues where the total points winner gets a bonus payout and/or trophy but the league Super Bowl winner still gets the big payout. I'm not against rewarding it but not the main thing
-
I'm just in one league now and it's not a lot of money but winner gets like $300-$500, so that's a nice little chunk of change. The fun leagues I used to be in though, we had trophies and all sorts of different cash prizes. We had like 8-10 trophies to give out every season. The league winner got $250 and the biggest trophy. The runner up got like $100. The division winners got trophies, the highest point scorer got a trophy, the team with the highest scoring player got and MVP trophy. That's what made me love playing

I have 3 QBs to choose from... 1pt per 50 yds, 6pt TDs, big longball bonus, 6 pt 300 yd bonus Anthony Richardson at Jax- 32nd CJ Stroud vs Buffalo, 9th Sam Darnold vs NYJ, 2nd In this league, Anthony Richardson can win this week with one throw, he's playing the last ranked team against QBs, that's the only reason I consider him.

I hate the notion that fantasy football is only about scoring the most points. Of course that's a big part, but anyone who has a bit of experience knows there's a lot more to it than that. If you want to win week in, week out, you have to learn the ins and outs of the players and your specific league. Consistency is just as important as a high point total at the end of the season. Just like in real football, it's about knowing how to get your team to peak at the right time, the playoffs. That's the fun part. If there was no head to head aspect, just comparing everybody's stats at the end of the week, I would have lost interest a long time ago.
-
The worst thing about fantasy football is when you score the 2nd highest score in your league of the week and still lose because your opponent scored the highest, all while the rest of the teams that won got out scored by you top 3 players... I've been on both sides of that scenario enough to know it just is what it is
-
It certainly depends on your team and league. I have 3 RBs, Kyren Williams, Kenneth Walker, and Zack Moss. The first two are my starters, and Moss is good depth. I"m not flexing any of them. They all have different bye weeks. That's how my RBs are gonna go for the rest of the season. Hopefully. If I have injuries, I'll deal with it at the time. There's just too little value at RB, and too much at other positions to roster more than that for me. There's 20+ RBs on the waiver wire right now with basically the same value, and that is they're gonna give you peanuts unless you get lucky and they score a TD. Guys like Dalvin Cook and Kareem Hunt, certainly intriguing, and worth a shot if need be, but I'm not going out of my way for either right now.
-
I would have to be really desperate at RB to pick him up. For one thing, I don't think he's that good any more. Even if he does become the bell cow, I don't think he's gonna be very productive. Second, there's gonna have to be injuries to Dowdle and Zeke at the same time for him to have any value. Third, and this one is the most important, the Cowboys don't really want to run the football that much. So even if he get in there, just him, I wouldn't expect a great workload. Lots of empty touches at best.
-
That's true... We're slowly getting back into the bus driver QB days. Which I think is a good thing. Mahomes obviously is more than a bus driver, he can and will turn it up when needed, but for fantasy football purposes, bus driver...

TNF Discussion: Buccaneers at Falcons - Week 5
polecatt replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
Nope, his QB passes for over 500 yards and his sorry, pathetic, bigger bust than Kwame Brown, arse still can't top 100 yds or score a TD -
He's the #1 QB in my league this week with 87 total points, 1 pt ahead of Baker Mayfield. What's popular opinion here going forward? Is he finally in the right spot and can shine, or is it more of the same?

UPDATE: Rashee Rice being carted off the field - Placed on IR

Yeah, that's pretty much how you have to look at it I think. Anything you get out of him beyond this point is gravy. I just hope it's nothing too long term -

That sounds like the best case scenario. Which is certainly a lot better than a torn ACL but still not good for fantasy football purposes. Of course the flipside is the swelling is so bad because the knee is absolutely shredded. I certainly hope not. Just have to wait and see. It's a shame because he was really starting to blossom
