    Exactly!

That Helps No One Week #3

It helps somebody if their opponent is banking on a TD from somebody on those teams

Week 3 WR Scoop and Play

I picked up Alec Pierce. He seems like he's coming into his own as Anthony Richardson's deep threat. If the QB has a big game, Pierce is likely the guy to have a big game too...

    Alec Pierce

Well, I'll say it this way, he's the most accurate throwing it 70 yards down the field I've never seen anyone throw it like that before. Aaron Rodgers has to roll out to his right and wind up to throw it like that, he threw that off his back leg. If he can hit on 25% of those, it's a major game changer. The safeties will have to play so far back it will open up a lot underneath. That will open door for him to run.

    Anthony Richardson

Well, it's less efficient, but only takes one completion for a 1st down

    J. Reed Rest of the way

I don't know, I think Reed is the kind of guy I would want to hang onto. His value is most likely going to increase

    Anthony Richardson

It is, but I wonder what most QBs completion % is passing 10-15 yards down the field, probably drops a good bit for most of them

    Anthony Richardson

I don't think you can judge this guy the same way you do most QBs, or any really. We've been so conditioned to the West Coast offense, dink and dunk style QB. A guy who can really air it out down the field isn't gonna have a high completion % but his YPA are off the charts. In my league where we get big long ball bonus, there's just no way not to start this guy with the kind of upside he has any given week. He was the top QB in week 1 and only completed 9 passes, and it's not like he had killer rushing stats. His 49.1% completion rate is last among starters, but he has a league-high 13.7 air yards per attempt. Think about that, air yards per attempt. That's a crazy YPC number. That's insane.

    Alec Pierce

Didn't he catch a long TD pass the other day? I don't know, but it looks like he may be their deep threat. Maybe I'm wrong about but I would want the deep threat with the strongest arm in the NFL

    Braelon Allen

I know Breece Hall is the big time RB these days but I just can't help but think this guy is gonna carve a decent complementary role. I don't know if he will have big fantasy value beyond depth but any games Breece misses, he's gonna fill in very nicely
  13. I still think there's quite a bit of expectations that he still is gonna pan out, just a bit of a late bloomer. He's not been the phenom that he was hyped as, but he's not been terrible either. He's thrown for over 4000 yard 2 out of 3 seasons. He won a division title too. Jury is still out

    Braelon Allen

He managed to dip into Breece Hall's touches quite a bit... Not a development I would like if I owned Hall
  15. That's typical of Amari. He's a bit streaky. He'll have 3 games in a row where his stat line is something like... 3 catches, 35 yds, 5 catches, 43 yds, 3 catches, 29 yds. Then the 4th game will be something like 9 catches, 175 yd, 2TDs

    Anthony Richardson

My league is kind of balanced out a bit more in that sense. We have 1 pt per 25 yds on the ground and 1 pt per 50 yds pass. We get a 6pt bonus at 100/300 though. So QBs rarely get more than 1 or 2 pts for rushing yds. Not many ever rush for 100 yds. All TDs are 6 pts, and over 40 yds is 12 pts, and over 50 yds is 15 pts. The thing about Anthony Richarson, his normal passing may not be great, but everything else is off the charts. His deep ball is sensational. He can rush for 100 yds. He can break a long TD run. He will have some 300 yd games too. His single game upside is so high it's ridiculous.

    Kenneth Walker 3rd

Not much news to report on that so far. ESPN is projecting him to play, for what it's worth, but that could obviously change at any moment. I saw somewhere saying the Seahawks are taking extreme caution with his oblique injury, which doesn't sound too promising for this week, but still, just speculation. Stay tuned...
  18. polecatt

    Anthony Richardson

I have him and CJ Stroud... CJ has been steady, at least by the standards this season, but Anthony Richardson still outscores him by 9 ppg, even with the dud last week

    What's happening with Kelce?

Passing numbers as a whole are down considerably so far this season compared to recent seasons. The reason? Who knows? My guess, and that's all it is, is that they don't much of a preseason or summer camp etc. any more, so what we're basically watching right now is the month of August in past years being played as the regular season. I would expect things to pick up about the time we start getting bye weeks.

    Anthony Richardson

No, it's not, by my lord he throws as good a deep ball as anyone I've ever seen. That 60 yd TD he threw in week 1 was amazing. He threw it 65 yards in the air off his back foot on a dime. In my league we get big bonuses for TDs over 40 and 50 yards, so he's a keeper

    Drafted dissapointments so far 2024

Jason Whitlock talked about this on his show yesterday I think it was. First two weeks of the season starting in 2019, overall TD passes, to anyone, WR, TE, RB, etc. 2019- 105 2020- 110 2021- 110 2022- 105 2023- 86 2024- 69 So if anyone remembers this was the trend last season as well. This season, it's gotten considerably worse. I think it's just a sign of the times. We've just come out of quite possibly the greatest era for QBs we have ever seen. Brady, Peyton, Brees, Rodgers, Big Ben, will all be 1st ballot HOF. Think about the 2nd and 3rd tier QBs of the era, Rivers, Eli, Ryan, Romo, Stafford, Cam... That line up right there would have dominated in many eras. The talent just simply isn't as good

Outside of Isiah Likely in week 1, TE has pretty much been

    Braelon Allen

He looks like a young AJ Brown. I don't know if it's gonna be this season or not, it could be, but I think he's gonna be a very good player at some point.

    Players who hold out

Two prime examples right now... CeeDee Lamb and Ja'Marr Chase.... CeeDee has 9 catches for 151 yards, including a 65 yd TD. This is right on par with how he normally starts the season. Chase, 10 catches for 97 yds. no TDs. Last season in the first two games, he had 10 catches for 70 yards and no TDs. The Bengals were off to a rocky start as well. With regards to these two, it's difficult to say the holdout is effecting them too much, although it's not been long.
