That 2nd contract can't get here fast enough
-
Word is he had a gun too. That's perfectly fine in itself, but in Texas while committing a felony, it's sentence enhancer. So if he's street racing, while drunk, with a gun, not difficult to see why he fled the scene
-
That was actually who Doug compared McCarthy to, not Drake Maye I know he doesn't have the credentials of wearing lip gloss or painting his fingernails or crying on his mother's bosom on national TV but what NFL QB does?
-
You forgot something... Way more than just a strong arm Positives Delivers a beautiful and well-placed deep ball time after time. Among the best in college football at throwing over the middle of the field. Very comfortable throwing into tight windows and has the arm strength to pull it off. Improvisational skills are good for such a young prospect (will not turn 22 until late August). Fearless in the pocket, even when he knows he is about to take a hit. While he needs to add a bit of muscle, he possesses a great frame and near-ideal size to play the position.

Yeah, I've always thought that if you have trash OL, that's first priority. If you have a good chance to get a franchise QB, fine, but everything else should all in on building the OL.
-
It's nearly impossible to win in the NFL with a trash OL, the teams with high picks usually have a trash OL. While it will certainly add to a rookie QB's struggles, I don't think it's quite the career killer it used to be considering QBs don't take hits like they used to. That said, they don't typically get as long to develop as they used to either. It's much more a win now scenario while they're on that rookie contract. That said, I don't think there's a big chance the Patriots draft him. I think they likely take something other than a QB
-
I don't think any of these QBs will excel as a rookie in New England considering they don't have any good skill position players or an OL.
-
I still haven't seen anything that makes me believe there's a better QB in this class, but that's just me perhaps
-
Word is he was street racing and lost control causing a 6 car accident... Not good for his fantasy football outlook
-
Maybe because he's the best RB in the NFL by far? Even though he's, gasp, white....

2024 NFL Draft Profile - QB Jayden Daniels

His elbow may be a concern -
Bijan, barring injury, will just about be a top 10 RB by default. That's kind of how he was last season. He was just a rookie, so maybe he will be better with experience, a better QB, HC, etc. That said, I didn't see the RB that everybody seemed to think he was gonna be last season. Not that he's bad and won't get better, but it's still a bit of a wait and see. Kyle Pitts is in a similar boat. He may finish as a top 10 TE kind of by default. That's just the sad state of the RB and TE positions in modern day fantasy football. Top 10 at each means only marginally better numbers than the guys at the top of the waiver wire.

It's just sort of a made up term. I don't know how you're supposed to tackle someone without dropping your hips. That's just sort of the physical nature of a tackle. I guess you could say it's kind of an extension of the Horse Collar Tackle. Pretty soon it's gonna be that you just can't tackle anyone from behind
-
Okay you're clearly just an Emmitt hater I'll disregard anything else I hear from you about him
-
I imagine he'll be available then. I just don't see a big rush to draft him early
-
This is PPR but it is noted that non PPR wouldn't be a big change. 1. CeeDee Lamb 2. Justin Jefferson 3. Ja'Marr Chase 4. Bijan Robinson 5. Breece Hall Full list of 240- https://www.espn.com/fantasy/football/story/_/id/15698900/mike-clay-dynasty-rookie-fantasy-football-rankings

I've treated RBs like they're waiver wire TEs for the most part the past 3 seasons or so on my dynasty team. It's worked very well for me. I'm loaded at QB, WR, and TE.
-
Honestly, in dynasty, I personally wouldn't put any RB in the top 5. Not in this day and age.
-
The hype with Pitts isn't going away. He may not be drafted up there with guys like Kelce or LaPorta, but once those top guys are gone, he will be next. Too many people will bank on the new QB and system with nothing really to lose with him vs a mediocre TE
-
That explains why never responded when I sent him cards to sign as a kid Troy Aikman did though. I got a letter back from him like 2 months later with the two cards I sent him signed. Him and David Robinson of the San Antonio Spurs were the only ones to do so.
-
I take a flier on a rookie QB about every year. I have J Herbert, CJ Stroud, and Anthony Richardson. A lot of people still sleep on QBs, even in dynasty. I pick them up as rookies and then when they blow up I can trade them for pretty good value.

Gus Edwards to be the bell cow for the chargers?
polecatt replied to nobody's topic in FFToday Board
I'm pretty sure he keeps that role as the goal line RB. Which of course gives him reasonable value alone. I don't know that we see a lot of 25 carry, `130 yard games from him, but if he can keep scoring TDs, and maybe even get a little work in the passing game, he should be a good guy to have on your team -
5 RBs and 5 WRs I would probably slant it a little more towards the WRs but it's close. McCaffrey or Tyreek 1st and 2nd. After that, I would likely go with a run of WRs. They're just much more reliable than the RBs IMO.
-
I've seen a lot of different dynasty rankings but this is the first I've seen with CeeDee Lamb even being tops at WR, certainly tops overall... That said, I could see it
-
I was duped by all the Pitts hype, and drafted him on my dynasty team as a rookie. He's been god awful as everyone knows. It's difficult to think he won't be better with a better QB, system etc. However, he gave up a lot of targets and numbers to Jonnu Smith last season. That tells me that it's as much he sucks as it does it's the system.
