Both QBs start off the game with an interception...

The entire 40+ years the season was 16 games it was never broken. The game changes over time. So do the records.

Looking Ahead to Redrafts 2024: First Four Rounds
polecatt replied to Fumbleweed's topic in FFToday Board
Looks pretty good for the most part. I think a lot of drafts would look pretty similar. Hard to argue with CMC and Tyreek 1st and 2nd. I personally wouldn't draft Bijan until the 2nd round but I bet he'll be top 5 in a lot of drafts. If you can get Puka Nacua in the 3rd round, that's the steal of the draft. He probably will be 2nd or 3rd, but I think he's a 1st round talent. It's gonna be interesting to see who ends up being the favorite between him and Cooper Kupp next season -
Kyren Williams is certainly the break out fantasy star of this season. Lots of CeeDee Lamb and Tyreek Hill too. My team is a dynasty team, although the only player I drafted was CeeDee Lamb, he was my first round pick his rookie season. Other than that, I traded for Justin Jefferson, and the other guys are players I've picked up on waivers the past two seasons

Just because the owners are paying top dollar for QBs, doesn't mean they're getting top dollar return on those investments While it's fair to chalk a bit of this up to injury, there are a lot of bad QBs this season. However, that's not exactly been uncommon in NFL history. There's been quite a few eras with bad QB play. We always remember the greats, but we forget the duds. I think this is just mostly a return to normal after arguably the best era we've ever had for QB play just retired. From the late 90s, early 2000s, to about 2020 or so, look at all the great QBs. Brady, Peyton, Rodgers, Brees, Big Ben, Eli, Matt Ryan, Romo, Rivers, Cam Newton, Stafford, just to name a few. I know, not all won a ring, and had their flaws, but they could all light up a scoreboard. Any given week, it was not uncommon at all to see any of those guys put up 400+ yds and 4 TDs or so. Even the more mediocre QBs could still move the ball. That era is over. While there are still several good QBs, many teams start QBs that can't complete a screen pass.

CeeDee Lamb!!!!! 47 pts in the championship round! -
Godwin is always a good play when you're in a bind

Chuba! I think he's gonna get the ball a lot. He may not have a great game, but he should do okay.
-
With JaMarr Chase status a bit iffy, and he'll be ginger even if he plays, I would definitely play Higgins.
-
Close call, could certainly go either way. I would probably start Baker too

No worries, I've been trying to figure out this one all season and I'm not any closer than I was in week 5, lol I appreciate that info about the Giants blitzing a lot. I wasn't even thinking they're a blitz happy D. I tend to agree, a rookie QB coming off injury, a bit of a concern. Stafford has been playing excellent lately. With the bonus we have for long TD plays, I like that match up. Plus, wouldn't be the first time I've brought In Stafford for a championship run!

I have a feeling that Goff is gonna be one extreme or the other. So will the game. Either Goff throws for something like 350 yds and 4 TDs, and the Lions win something like 35-10 Or he throws for something like 180 yds, a TD and 3 picks, the Cowboys dominate and win 41-17 The Cowboys have been great at home so far, so my guess would be the latter

Pick 6 for the Browns!

I see this as the Broncos have given up on the playoffs -
Dynasty: Malik Nabers is better than Marvin Harrison Jr

I would listen to what Steve Smith says on this one. I know he's rated the WR prospects sometimes in the past. He's made some unlikely calls too. He said little known Cooper Kupp would be the best WR from the 2017 draft, despite being a 3rd round pick. He said that Justin Jefferson was the best despite being the 5th WR taken in the loaded 2020 draft. He was also one of the first to talk about Puka Nacua. I would look for Steve's call on this one before next year's draft and take it seriously -
Amari Cooper is good for about one monster game like that a season, two if you're lucky, but one for sure. To have it this week, amazing! He's been good for two weeks though. The game before he had over 100 yds and a 51 yd TD. Will he keep it up in championship week? Against a very tough match up, the NY Jets? I think so. I think he goes over the century mark once again and scores.

I agree, there couldn't be a better time to play the Football Team than now for Brock Purdy. I expect him to play excellent and the 49ers to steam roll the Swamp Team. From a fantasy perspective, I don't think you will be disappointed if you start him
-
Okay, same team you've answered the past two weeks of mine 10 team, PPR, longball bonus, big bonus at 100/300 yds We're in the championship! Gutted out a tough win last week. I got in the playoffs at 7-7, the two teams I've played, were the two teams that sweep me during the season. I beat them both in the playoffs to get to the championship! Okay, shameless pat on the back aside Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp, both at the NYG or Chris Olave at TB? Pick one to start I'm leaning heavy to P Nakua. Probably recency bias. Him and Cooper tend to flip flop? I'm tempted to start Olave. He's been red hot lately. I'm just concerned about his 1 catch for 4 yds, worst of his career, performance against TB earlier this season... What do you think? Also, this week at QB Stafford at NYG or CJ Stroud vs Tenn?

Dak Prescott and Mike McCarthy- Hold my beer! -
With the 49ers loss last night, the Lions are in a 3 way tie at the top of the NFC. There's no way they rest Goff. I would play him

I was up 120-84 going into this game. My entire team had played. My opponent had Kittle and Deebo. They only scored him 27! So I got the 120-111 win! So Purdy's terrible game you could say helped me!
