Going beyond what was reasonable happened ages ago. This is just the reality of the world today. It's not a matter of if this happens, but when. I'm certain the NFL and the teams with outdoor stadiums in cold weather cities have taken this into consideration.

At what point does the NFL start to require stadiums to have a retractable roof. In today's world, this sort of thing could lead to some costly lawsuits. I love cold weather games as much as anyone, but with the direction the league is going, softening the game, one has to think they're gonna be phased out at some point

He had the 2nd best season of his career in 2024. He had 3 consecutive games with 135+ yds to close out the season. Of course we still have the playoffs to go but unless he tears his ACL or something it shouldn't be a big thing. I don't see any reason to think he won't be one of the better RBs in the NFL again in 2025. That said, I don't think anyone will be surprised if Father Time suddenly catches up to him. Even though they're playing 17 games now, with the softening of the rules, I think we can expect some of these longevity standards of the past to wither away a bit. Some RBs lasting a bit longer than typical could be a more common thing going forward.

Most yards in a season is most yards in a season. Else what you're really getting into is ypg, not yards in season. Then you open the door for a player who missed some games but had a higher ypg. So, if you don't want to go that route, then it's most ypg, in a full season, which is the same as most yards in a season. So the durability in the extra games played is part of the record. It's just one of the many ways the game "progresses" over time.

That's the thing, Alabama has been absolutely loaded with NFL all across the board. That means they have a bus driver QB. Bus driver QBs in college just simply don't tend to pan out in the NFL. Or at least they don't tend to be strong starting QBs at the NFL level. They may make good back up QBs but not stars.

Thanks for the call last week Doug, Baker Mayfield had a big game and led me to a close first round playoff victory! He's locked in as my starter this week at QB too. However, I have a bit of a ? at TE... I've been riding the hot hand with Jonnu Smith these past 3 weeks or so and it's paid off well. However, I feel like it's gonna come to an end at some point, this week, he has a tough match up vs the 49ers... I also have Sam LaPorta, who has a good match up at the Bears. He's been a bit of a disappointment this season but is playing decent lately. Last game vs the Bears he had 2 TDs. PPR, 1 pt per 20 yd, 6 pt bonus at 100 yds, 6 pt TDs, 6 pts bonus for TDs over 40 yds, and an extra 3 pts over 50 yds. Which TE should I start?
