Breece Hall ranked higher than Connor and White?
polecatt replied to seafoam1's topic in FFToday Board
I guess you mean James ConnEr and Rashad White? I would start Breece Hall over both of those guys He just has way more upside. -
Pick 2 RBs to start... PPR, 100 yd bonus, longball bonus Kenneth Walker @ Detroit Dameon Pierce vs Indy Dalvin Cook @ Dallas Jamaal Williams @ Carolina Zeke vs Miami I'm leaning towards Walker and Pierce, but not set in stone
-
Thanks, seems to be unanimous

Pick 2 RB - Sanders, Kelley, Cook or Allgeier
polecatt replied to zole2112's topic in A Little Help!
It's about a toss up, I would probably start Allegier and Kelley -
Oh I'm well aware of fantasy football karma and lacktherof, I've had plenty of both over the years Usually though the kind of karma I get in a situation like this is, the back up has a career game
-
Yes! My opponent left Swift on the bench and he has Ekeler!
-
So happy my opponent left him on the bench and left AJ Brown in his starting line up!
-
Okay, now throw to Justin Jefferson every play...
-
Yes! I picked up Jake Elliott this afternoon! That FG before half is 10 pts!
-
I would start both against Philly, or at least I wouldn't not start them because they're playing Philly. Mattison is probably a better play than Conner. So start him at RB. Other than that, I would start both TEs, with the two obvious WRs, AJ and Ridley. The last WR? Hell, try Atwell, hope he catches a long TD

Philly is like New England when it comes to RBs Good luck figuring it out

Amari Cooper had perhaps the best season of his career, his first with the Browns, his 3rd team. The pattern with him has been, he's great when he first joins a team, and then after a season or two, he's disappointing. So basically, it's either, he's found his place in Cleveland and will flourish with Watson, or he's on his way downhill with a 3rd team after a great start. Still, he's the top WR, and he's a top 15 or so WR talent, so the floor is only so low. ' Tee Higgins on the other hand is a clear cut WR2 on a loaded offense, or so we thought I don't know if he has as high a celing as Cooper, but he should be a little more consistent. In the end, it's a toss up

He's their leading receiver with 44 yards on 2 catches. That included their longest play of the day a 34 yard catch. He had a 26 yard catch wiped out by motion penalty. That would have been 70 yards on 3 catches. They only passed for 115 yards total. He had well over a 3rd of that. Add in the 26 yarder, he's got half their yards on 3 catches. The problem isn't Kyle Pitts. He's easily been their best receiver. The only one that catches anything downfield. The problem is, the Falcons throw about 4 passes a quarter and 3 of them are within about 5 yards of the line of scrimmage.

I don't know about Kyren Williams, seems to be a potentially sleeper RB who could fall into a good situation. So got to make the call on him right now. Go for it! Puka Nacua, well, seems like he's fitting into the Cooper Kupp role, and if Sunday was any indication, he's fitting in the role very well. I don't know what will happen when/if Kupp comes back, but I think he will find his way on the field either way. Tutu Atwell, He's essentially there to play a Desean Jackson/Mike Wallace role. That is, run really fast down the field and catch a deep ball. I don't know if he's ever gonna consistent, but he's gonna have some big plays, and big games.

I agree, Hayden Hurst looks like he's gonna be Bryce Young's security blanket in Carolina. At least for the time being. It's not like they're loaded with receiving talent. He could be a solid starter
-
Definitely. It's not like Dobbins has been the 2nd coming of Emmitt Smith on the rare occasion he's been healthy to begin with. Michael Thomas and Leveon Bell had both performed at elite levels before their issues, so it makes more sense to hang onto them. A guy like Dobbins though, has never even been a solid starter. He had a promising rookie season in a RBBC, but that's it. Since then, he's barely played at all. I would drop him and not look back

Week 001: Random Thoughts/Opinions/Questions
polecatt replied to easilyscan's topic in FFToday Board
Touche! I don't really have any disagreements with anything there, well except the Dolphins play on grass, but that's nitpicking It was an interesting opening day for sure. Some of what happened will stick, others won't. It appears to me though, as if the NFL has basically taken the final week of preseason games and made them the first week of regular season games. If not I get the feeling that this season is gonna be kind of like watching one of the old NFL bloopers tapes I was looking at the QBs in my league. The top was Tua, who was started. The next 3 highest were all FAs. Then Herbert, who is my starter, was next. Maybe week 2 is a bit better. -
There really wasn't a QB that played exceptionally well outside of Tua, at least for fantasy. Mac Jones was 2nd in my league. He was good, but I don't think anybody started him. Jordan Love and Cousins were decent too but nothing spectacular. Just kind of a slow day overall for QBs

The eagles are kind of like the Patriots with RBs
-
FU to my RBs, I should have started Zeke!
-
I didn't think Burrow had a shot in that one, but maybe I underestimated him

Yes! I was just about to say, I wonder if perhaps Geno Smith has turned back into Geno Smith... -

Aaron Jones went out, looked to be clutching his hamstring... On the plus side, Jordan Love looks like he's gonna be the 3rd installment of great GB QBs -
I guess the hangover from the contract celebration lasted a little longer than expected?
