TNF Discussion: Cowboys at Eagles - Week 1
polecatt replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
He spit on Dak Prescott right in front of a ref, what an idiot -
Everyone thinks the Browns will be in the running for worst team. Why?
polecatt replied to nobody's topic in FFToday Board
It's the Browns... Any given year, if I didn't know a thing about any team in the NFL, the Browns would be one of the first 3 teams I thought of for worst team. There's lots of history to back it up. Some teams, no matter what, good players and coaches or not, always seem to lose. The only other teams I can really think of on par are the Lions and the Jets. The Browns this season, have a gigantic clusterfock at QB. Somehow, a 40 year old Joe Flacco is their best bet, easily. All anyone seems to care about on the team is a 5th round pick who may as well be a social media star as opposed to a QB. -
Here's my team, PPR, 6pt TDs, long ball bonus on TDs and FGs. My 8 keepers in bold (we keep 8 to 12) QB- Baker Mayfield, Justin Fields RB- Kyren Williams, Kenneth Walker III, Trevevon Henderson, RJ Harvey, Kaleb Johnson WR- Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb, Puka Nacua, Ladd McConkey, Rashid Shaheed, Devonta Smith TE- Sam LaPorta, Kyle Pitts D/ST- Texans K- Brandon Aburey How did I do?
-
I got a trade offer, straight up I trade Baker Mayfield for Bo Nix? Think I should do it?
-
I updated it. All TDs are worth 6 pts. TDs over 40 yds get a 6 pt bonus. TDs over 50 yds get a 9pt bonus. Including passing.

Micah Parsons reportedly viewed by some Cowboys teammates as 'egotistical, self-centered' before Packers trade
polecatt replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in FFToday Board
Absolutely, he just needs a coach or someone to help properly channel that attitude, kind of like LT and Parcells. I feel like he's kind of a a crossroads, he can go the LT route or the Lavarr Arrington route -
Right, Denver had arguably the worst QB situation in the NFL for a few seasons after Peyton. Sometimes a player just needs a change of scenery for whatever reason to succeed. It's not like he's exactly in QB heaven with the Browns. Flacco can at least get the ball to an open WR most of the time though. He was supposedly the best WR out of the loaded draft with CeeDee Lamb and Justin Jefferson. that talent hasn't just evaporated.
-
Given your roster requirements, I think it's an excellent team. It's young, so a couple of fresh talent is gonna have to take off, but I don't think that will be an issue. Good job

Wouldn't surprise me. He did have a bit of an attitude. Not saying it's necessarily good or bad, but that sort of thing can rub some people the wrong way. -
I take a QB when one is available that I like at the selection I have. Sometimes it's earlier in the draft but often later. If you don't get a good chance before about round 8 or so, then look to do a good QB stack, maybe try to get a duo with a steady guy and a bit of a gunslinger with weekly upside. Or take a solid pocket passer and a guy who can run a bit. Just don't force anything when taking a QB
-
Yeah, I don't get the Tillman is the guy to bet on here take either Jeudy has only one season in which he didn't put up better numbers than Tillman's entire career. Plus, Tillman has concussion issues? Not sure about that one.
-
Kenny Clark potentially fills what has been the Cowboys biggest glarring hole on defense since Bill Parcells was there... If they can get 2 starters out of the 2 picks, this is a good deal for them, especially if Parsons continues his descent into La'Varr Arrington levels of uncoachability
-
Now I can see why Jerry wanted to trade him... He's not worth that kind of money
-
Definitely Jeudy. He's a bit of a late bloomer, but was picked before CeeDee Lamb and Justin Jefferson for a reason, he's very talented. For whatever reason, Denver didn't seem to workout. Cleveland of all places, he seems to fit in more so. He had a bit of a breakout season in 2024 and I only expect him to build on that in 2025. If their QB situation stabilizes, and perhaps one of the rookie QBs shines, he could have a big season.

Good squad for a 12 team league. Solid at QB, RB, and TE, D/ST. It will come down to how the WRs behind Sutton produce. Get a player or two to step up good there, and this team should be a strong contender
-
What's the total salary cap? Can't say for sure without knowing that, but I would probably take Conner. Cook will probably be a little better, but I doubt it will be enough to make up for the cost difference
-
I would take Jefferson... Outside of injury, he's shown he can put up top notch numbers regardless of the circumstances, can't say that about the other two...
-
Puka and Nabers, no brainers there... Josh Allen is the other I would keep, he's top 3 at his position, the highest scoring position, and it costs you nothing to keep him. That's better than a random RB2
-
I would personally take J Jefferson 1st overall, but you can't really go wrong with Chase, Bijan, or Saquon
-
Good move for the 49ers... He's not CMC, but he's good enough to where he should be able to carve out some sort of role beyond just being depth... CMC is great, but we know how brittle he is. The 49ers surely want to limit his workload a bit in hopes he'll be healthy all season
-
It depends on who else is there. I wouldn't hesitate to draft a QB, but I wouldn't go out of my way to do so either...
-
Shedeur Sanders is the Browns starting QB by week 3 and is a solid fantasy streamer, for about 2 weeks
-
I wouldn't do it. I would prefer to have the higher pick round 1 than the higher pick in round 2
-
I would hope the LM wouldn't allow that
-
I saw a link to a Yahoo article that said that in the headlines, but when I clicked on the link, it was gone... So I guess it's just a rumor
