  1. To be honest, I eat White Castle about once a year. But the Chili’s barbecue popcorn shrimp caesar salad isn’t getting me out of the house. I can also admit that if I’m ordering pizza, it’ll come from Papa John’s. However, I delivered for them in college and remain loyal because of that. Have a great weekend and try not to kill anyone. Wait, what am I saying. Go out and kill.
  2. I tend to consider you a quality poster, but that 2nd paragraph says you might need to start looking for your marbles. Aside from that, I’m squarely in the food snob category. If I’m going out, it’s for something that I know will be really good. My kitchen skills are pretty elevated and I cook a lot. I’m not going to a restaurant and paying for grub that will be lower quality than I could make at home.

But I do have some fears...

    Both suxxor.
  4. You should stick around. You’re almost always civil and I really appreciate that. I really prefer the non-political threads, but there are so few that I find myself engaging in the political ones more than in the past. I’d prefer to have your posts included. Also, lock down that border!

    RFK already reforming the FDA

Try going inside one after there’s been a fire and you have that smell combined with smoke, plus maybe dead chickens lying around. Blech.
  6. And now the question is “What message does this send to democrats?” I would hope this is a wake up call to stop “grooming” candidates and letting career public sector people feel like they’re entitled to the office. Maybe both parties will start looking for candidates who are qualified and picked from the best among us. No one could seriously say that Harris was either of those things. Could this Trump victory usher in a new era for the two big parties, where they choose their candidates based on experience rather than “electability”?

    RFK already reforming the FDA

Having been to many, many hog and chicken operations, it is hard for me to eat either. Chicken houses are awful. And pig manure builds up really fast and is a disgusting substance. Eggs are easier for me because layer houses are better kept. Nonetheless, chicken is the meat I eat the most. You should always handle raw chicken with the assumption that it is contaminated. ETA: I believe on average pork is technically the less contaminated of the two (chicken and pork). My statement above about having a hard time eating it after being to so many farms is just due to the disgusting experience of walking around in 3” of the nastiest manure ever. I’m telling ya, they’re nasty.
  8. What a shame Bobby Jindal isn’t a natural born citizen. That’s a guy who could be president.
  9. I’m not giving up any rights. I’m a 5 percenter. We don’t lose rights. We’re like mini oligarchs.

Sheesh. RFK Jr is such a nutty loon. There are about 2,100 hog farms in NC. Smithfield did not drive every hog farmer out of business. And they’re called confinement buildings, not factories. What a loon.
  11. No, no— @peenie told us that Kamala wasn’t a real black anyway. That can’t be it.
  12. I agree. I look back on the elections from my adult years and think about guys like Perot, Forbes, Romney…these guys should’ve been presidents.
  13. Oh, I think Trump is going to ice him before inauguration. RFK Jr got used. I think Trump will leave him out or put him out of view.
  14. Hard to say. You definitely have to think Vance will look at running, but would he actually be a better choice than Gabbard or someone like Scott? My personal opinion— Gabbard would make an excellent chief executive.
  15. One of the first things that came to mind for me is how this Trump victory sets up the potential for a Tulsi Gabbard presidency.
  16. Whoa. Simmer down. Not cool. That’s not what I said and I never have said that. I was referring to going to bed at 2 a.m. with Trump leading and waking up the next day to him losing.
  17. I still expect shenanigans. Maybe 2020 just left me really jaded.
  18. Georgia is tightening and I think Virginia is out of reach.
  19. Hoping to be wrong, but I still expect Harris to win.
  20. Just as a throwback to days of yore… No way I’m clicking on that link.

    Was your polling place busy?

No debacle. I’m in Indiana and I was there 10 minutes before opening, so there was a line.

    A woman's right to choose

As well, I bet 100% of those would-be mothers would answer “No” if they were asked if they wish they’d been aborted by their own mothers. They’re glad they were spared, but don’t want to give the same opportunity to their own unborn.

    A woman's right to choose

Not reading through all of these. Apologies if this has already been discussed. I have noticed the term “reproductive rights” seems to have been abandoned. When it was popular, I often questioned what men’s reproductive rights were. If a man wants to abort and the woman doesn’t, does he have a right? If a woman wants to abort and the man doesn’t, does he have a right?

    Was your polling place busy?

Took 70 minutes. By far the longest I’ve ever waited.
