I hear you and there are definitely things in sports that I wish hadn’t changed…let’s not talk about the 3 pt shot. But, the running QB isn’t exactly a new thing. In the early years of the league the QB essentially was an RB. To me, I think it’s a compliment to Lamar to acknowledge that he can do both passing and running. He had the same completion percentage as Mahomes this season with 7 fewer interceptions. It’s tempting to suggest he had fewer interceptions because he had fewer attempts, but that argument goes down the tubes to INT% which was only 1.5% for Lamar and 2.3% for Mahomes. As well, Lamar had a higher TD% than Mahomes at 5.3 vs 4.5. So while he’s passing less than Mahomes, what he does with those passes is throw a lower percentage of turnovers and a higher percentage of touchdowns. Mahomes threw 50% more interceptions while attempting only 23% more passes.

I’m not sure why you’d attempt to turns this away from the content and toward semantics. Regardless, I’m fine with simply saying we disagree. There’s nothing wrong with that. Not everything has to be a hill that someone dies on.

Typical: characteristic of a particular person or thing Detectives and prosecutors behave this way. There’s very little accountability. They typically mistreat suspects, witnesses, associates, informants. They lie during interrogations, push people for inadmissible polygraphs, suppress information, target investigations, fabricate motives, manipulate stupid people, intimidate. This is all typical.

Football goes way lower. It’s way overrated. The actual amount of action is under 20 minutes per game. Offense/defense not on the field at the same time, so the individual player isn’t even working during all of the real action. Aside from OL/DL and LB, many players are only putting forth minimal effort on some plays. Wrestling obviously goes near the top. Soccer is way up there. Tennis is a fcking killer. Distance running?

When Aaron is being interrogated the detective tells him “I need to figure out how to make you look like a monster.” So despicable, and a great illustration why it’s the detectives and prosecutors who are the real problem in our criminal justice system rather than your average beat cop.
