Going to be heading to my daughter's master's graduation in May and the dog will becoming with us on the car trip... She is a very nervous and anxious mutt, with a majority of her being an American Staffordshire Terrier... We have been looking into backseat hammocks with a hard base, but can't decide on it... Does anyone have any experience in these for their car? She is around 50 pounds and as I said, gets very anxious and nervous when in the car on short trips around town... I have looked at ratings and always read the one-star reviews to see what pissed people off and that just is deterring... Any help would be appreciated... TIA

Thank you to everyone that gave serious answers and a F**k you to the assmunchers that replied (and you know who you are)… Filling in the missing information, my dog is 4.5 years old and is a Velcro dog…. She had another dog with her, but she had to be put down a year ago…. Since she was added to our family, I have always been WFH (or looking for work), so that is the main reason for her being that… Because of that, we know that she would not be great in a kennel (she is also not in a crate at home)…. Others have mentioned staying at home and have people come over…. That isn’t a possibility because even when my kids come home from college in consecutive weekends (for example), she doesn’t warm up to them for at least six hours…. Having someone come over to take her out and feed her would not be simple at all for them… Because of this and the length of time that we will be gone, her coming along is the only reasonable choice, thus the questions…

She was fun to watch…. It’s a shame she couldn’t go out on her own terms instead of the body forcing her to hang them up…

I am pulling for UConn…. Mainly because I would like to see Paige get her title…. Plus a family friend used to play with Azzi Fudd in travel ball…. I never met Fudd obviously but I would like to see them win for the friends sake… I have nothing against South Carolina, but there is something that Dawn Staley does that just rubs me the wrong way…. I am not a fan of Texas either, but that is just mainly them in the Big 12 with WVU before they left… So Texas and UConn with UConn winning the title…

It’s 300 miles and a little over five hours without the animal…. When we go to PetSmart or someplace close, she is in a full pant and almost hyperventilating breathing…. She will still look out the window and stuff but a 5-6 hour drive like that would be very mean to her… We tried a bed last time and she used it once for about 20 seconds until I had to stop…. Also one of us is back there with her, which is why we are thinking some kind of hammock…

My kids watched “The Breakfast Club” and “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and loved them… One big difference from 80s movies are the soundtracks…. They aren’t done any more but were used to advance the story… I doubt I can get them to watch “The Lost Boys”, though I still like the movie, but I think because of the soundtrack…. Same with “The Wraith”…

It’s a joke…. Because terrestrial radio and even Sirius only plays “Don’t Stop Belevin’” when a Journey song is played…

At the time it wasn’t too bad, but if one would catch it now for the first time, I could definitely see that…
