The 29th season of the WNBA kicks off tonight... There are a lot of questions for the upcoming season... I could probably list a lot, but a lot of people here are too insecure about women's sports... Some notes/questions: The season now consists of 44 games. The finals are now a best-of-seven. How will the Golden State Valkyries do in their first season? How will Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese do in their sophomore season? How about rookie Paige Bueckers? How will she do this season? Will A'ja Wilson become the league's first player to win four MVP awards? With all of the trades and free agent moves this off-season, how will it pan out for all teams? Can the New York Liberty repeat? I know that the biggest question here would be, "Why should I watch women's sports?" or something very similar to that... As I said above, you are just too insecure and think basketball needs to have dunks to be considered "worth watching"... These posts just make me (and others) laugh... Anyway, enjoy the season...

The Indiana Fever star, sidelined since May 24 with a left quadriceps strain, scored a season-high 32 points with 7 3-pointers, 8 rebounds and 9 assists in a 102-88 victory against the previously unbeaten New York Liberty in Indianapolis. The Fever's win against the defending WNBA champions drew an average of 2.2 million viewers with a peak of 2.8 million, according to Nielsen numbers released Tuesday by ESPN. That average was up a whopping 76% over last season's average audience for WNBA games on ABC. So far in 2025, viewership is up 15% from 2024 across ESPN's platforms. Clark, 23, is averaging 21.6 points, 9.2 assists and 6.4 rebounds and shooting 36.7% from 3-point range in five starts this season. The No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA draft out of Iowa, Clark earned All-Star, All-WNBA and Rookie of the Year honors last season.

Maybe, but if things keep going without success, I think you would have to do something... Maybe he has closer mentality and can continue on, but if he doesn't, it could really get rooted into his psyche...

A spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed to TMZ Sports that 40-year-old Mizuhara reported to the Federal Correctional Institution Allenwood Low facility in Pennsylvania on Monday ... hours before the Japanese superstar is slated to make his first pitching start for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Mizuhara was sentenced to 57 months in prison this past February for stealing more than $16 million from Ohtani ... and was initially ordered to surrender in March, but the date was pushed back at his attorney's request. The Dodgers fired Mizuhara in March 2024 after Ohtani's attorneys claimed he engaged in a "massive theft" of the World Series champ's bank accounts. He was accused of taking funds from Ohtani to place bets and pay debts to an illegal bookmaker. "He took advantage of his position of trust to take advantage of Mr. Ohtani and fuel a dangerous gambling habit," United States Attorney Martin Estrada said. "My office is committed to vindicating victims throughout our community and ensuring that wrongdoers face justice." Mizuhara was facing up to 33 years in prison ... but ultimately reached an agreement, pleading guilty to bank fraud and filing a false tax return. Ohtani addressed the matter at the time ... saying, "I'm very saddened and shocked that someone who I trusted has done this." The 30-year-old has denied having any knowledge of Ippei's gambling activity or the debt he incurred from it -- which reached $40 million in the negative. We take it the facility doesn't have MLB TV ... so it's safe to say Ippei's gonna miss Ohtani's big night.

The clubs have not confirmed the deal. Devers had become the face of the franchise in Boston since debuting in 2017, but there was some tension when the team signed Alex Bregman this offseason and Devers at first said he was not willing to move into a designated hitter role. He later walked that back and has mostly served in that role this season, but in early May he told the club that he would not be willing to play first base. The Giants are right in the thick of the NL West race and now add a premium left-handed bat to the lineup.

CLARK. IS. BACK... First game back, Clark scores 32 points (include seven from beyond the arc) with eight rebounds and nine assists as the Fever handed the Liberty their first loss of the season... Ionescu had 34 for the Liberty... Only downside, was that Clark had seven turnovers during the day...

Drove into Arlington and on pretty much every overpass was "No Kings" this and "No Kings" that signs on both sides of the overpass... Maybe about 20-30 people total for both sides...

That sucks…. If everyone that tries to scam people out of money would put these talents to good use imagine how much better this world would be… I guess you will have to take payments that will give you instant feedback if it is good or not, especially on big purchase items... It sucks for the customers the are legit, but you must protect your business…

Looks like Clark is supposed to play against the Liberty tomorrow... Tough first game back...
