Root Cause Analysis : Let’s set a timeline. When did these school shootings and mass random shootings start? In my lifetime that was Columbine. Which was what? 1999. There has always been random murder or even things like the Kent State shootings but that seems more random than now.

I’m fine with common sense gun control, similar to what we have now. In normal circumstances I’d be fine with a bit more. IF people felt safe, but when they see their business potentially being burned down and law enforcement turns a blind eye. When they see people walking in stores and brazenly stealing stuff with no consequences, they go arm themselves. Point being, softer on crime and harder on gun control don’t go together.

I’m not a Second Amendment absolutionist. Lines have to drawn and it’s a moving target with technology. Nobody has even touched on 3D Printing of guns and how we as a society address that in the near future. But if government is going to start being soft on crime, I’m not willing to move the line harder on gun control. The two should move in unison.

100%. You can’t take away peoples right to defend themselves and livelihood while at the same time wanting to “defund police”. A defensless society would need a hardline law enforcement OR vice versa. Some of y’all need to make your mind up. Which is it?

Most of these shootings the person was illegally owning the firearm. They were a felon, underage, it was stolen etc. Point being is just yelling “We need more gun laws!” Sounds virtuous and all but, let’s actually better do a job of ENFORCING the existing laws first.

I’m all for common sense gun laws but they mean nothing if they aren’t enforced. This guy was not lawfully supposed to have a weapon. He was suffering from schizophrenia, recently been in a mental hospital.

Not sure if this has been brought up but the current MLB playoff structure is horrible. MLB has the longest regular seasons in all of sport. 162 games. It’s to find the best team pitching staff over time, the most consistent hitters, and a manager who juggles it all. Then the post season consists of the best teams getting over a week off. While that may seem like a plus to football or basketball fans, that is a killer for a baseball team. They play every other day for 7 months , pitching rotations, longevity and consistency. Over a week off when you’ve played that long is like icing a field goal kicker. Then the second round is a 5 game series not a 7 game. WTF? MLB needs to rethink the post season.

Home from a long days work and a H.S. Soccer game afterwards. We got our arse handed to us but it was against one of the best teams in the state. So what did I miss?

Not bullied, like long term. However there was this one time though….same kid like 7th or 8th grade. He was trailer trash, full mullet very strange kid. I was an honor student, played sports and he would egg me on just talking smack, talking down for no reason. I wasn’t scared of him per se, but more of fighting or even getting in trouble at school so just tried to ignore and stay clear. He casually showed me he had a small knife on him one time. I’ll never forget that. It was for about two weeks then I honestly don’t remember seeing him again. He probably got expelled and kicked out or moved. Looking back he probably came from a crap redneck family and was acting out.

I’m just glad it’s over so government can function as it should.
