I was going to go back and bump his post, but assumed The Blue Horseshoe would do it.
-
Well, that was fun.
-
If I had to guess, this makes the most sense. The shoe fits.

For me personally I’d like to know why some of you guys initial reaction is to IMMEDIATELY minimize and/or make excuses for abhorrent behavior? It’s like a reflex you cannot help. I find it fascinating. And it’s just you three. Most other notorious Lefties have stayed away.

I brought that up two days after Hamas attacked all those innocent civilians on October 7th. On the news they were showing Pro-Palestinians “protesting” in the streets.. I was blown away, it seemed backwards…shouldn't the Israelis be the one taking to the streets demanding stuff? And it was more of a celebration too. I couldn’t believe they were doing that. Even if you did like it, that’s probably the time celebrate quietly at home. To do it in public after witnessing what happened. I was blown away.

Best case scenario would be to have neighboring Arab countries take in Palestinian civilians who are not pro Hamas. But would Hamas even let them leave? They need those kids for the photo shoot.

Aside from national security, what do you need from the government?

I haven’t worked out all the details. And I’m not saying government doesn’t have any role. They make the rules, like in the banking industry or any industry. Certain guidelines have to be adhered too, etc. and maybe government run public schools was right choice I’m just brainstorming. My overarching point goes back to my first post in this thread. Government has a role in civilized societies but when it can be done by the people or private sector I will always err on that side. -

It’s never going to happen because the toothpaste is out of the tube so this is a fruitless exercise but I appreciate your responses in this thread so I’d envision it similar to any other private industry. Company X creates a school in Town A because there is a need in the market. They want to provide the best product so parents send their child there but also have to keep the price down to remain competitive. The whole Econ 101 thing. While you pay out of pocket for school, theoretically that would be offset by paying less taxes because the government isnt spending a bazillion dollars on schools. And similar to the safety nets for our poor, sick and downtrodden the government could have a voucher program for poor kids to use for tuition. Think Medicare/Medicaid for school. Look it’s never going to happen but if we had a Time Machine and started over it could. -
I think or hope most people align with this. Problem is Hamas, like most all terrorists organizations cannot be negotiated with, use those kids as shields, hide their weapons in hospitals and schools and peoples homes, constantly lie, and are savages. You cannot fight them like a normal war where your military fights my military. It’s a focked up situation.

Worms called it “disinformation”. I never would have guessed that little post calling out the people doing that would’ve been controversial in the least. Geez.
-
This is what a normal reply would look like: ”Are some people really doing that? If so that’s ridiculous and they should be called out” But for some reason Worms and Gutter immediately go to minimize and make excuses mode.
-
All I did was post that those people doing it were not classy. Then you and gutter immediately said it doesn’t happen and now you’re asking weird vague questions.
-
Those were just the first four news stories that came up from the Google Machine. Why is your first instinct always to minimize or stick up for abhorrent behavior?

I’m not on Facebook. But I’ve seen it done on video at least a half dozen times by different groups in different cities. A Florida dentist was fired for doing it just today. Read some news. But let me guess you haven’t seen it done personally so it doesn’t happen. Here we go again.
-
My favorite part is all the Pro Palestine “protesters” going around and tearing down the missing posters of kidnapped Jew children. Classy.
-
So what were they “protesting” on October 8th, the day after Hamas committed all those atrocities and before Israel retaliated?
-
This is why nobody respects you, dumb stuff like this.
-
I can’t believe you had to actually type that out.

Sometimes I feel like I’m playing cards with my brothers kids or something. -
I couldn’t believe it at time let alone now.

It’s not private school, it’s just school. And before you spout off I know your next two questions. So let’s save some time. Sit back, think how it could work.
