I find it hard to not see trans as mental illness...
KSB2424 replied to Fireballer's topic in The Geek Club
Speaking of mental illness. Taking the time out of your human existence to make multiple alias on a fantasy football message bored is some sort of "Hysteria" This is not normal behavior and my advice is to seek professional help. -
Herbie, I respect your musical taste from years past but them there are fighting words.

Am I missing something? Why are we talking about Dave Grohl? Nirvana and Foo Fighters are not on this list.

1. You gotta stop with the instant "MAGA" reaction. It just reeks of TDS, most people just live their life through values and vote however that turns out. 2. Here's la ittle hint. I'm going to speak for myself but I do believe others feel the same. I'm not "dismissing" Trans people. They are who they are and I hope they find peace and happiness. My angst is more to the woke school board members, the woke white women and beta males who create spaces for mentally ill people to engage with kids. I don't hate the pit bull, he is who he is, I hate the pit bull owner who brings him to the 6 year old birthday party. -

100% agreed. When your mental illness affects only yourself, cool, but when it affects others in a harmful way that is bad. Pedo's who sit at home and daydream of touching kids while jerking off is frankly okay in a society, as soon as they try to groom, influence, or actually touch a kid. All bets are off, hang em'. And this may make you uncomfortable in the analogy but most folks don't really care if some person born a man, turns into a woman by the way they dress, talk, act and by way of surgery. To each their own, live your life and be happy. But when they try to affect others, the moms and dads perk up. Why is there a Transgender reads to elementary students day at the local school? Let's write how cool Trans people are in books and put them in elementary school libraries. Let's fly the Tans Flag high and we have to be normalized!@#! That stuff doesn't fly Holmes. Moms and Dad's aren't having it. -

I just got off the shitter whilst posting. To my dismay I read your original post wrong and retract my statement. I thought you were on the other side of said issue. We are in agreement. Mental illness is a broad term (spectrum) of all sorts of disorders. Some fairly minute while others deadly. From OCD, Anxiety, Bi-Polar, Eating disorders, Phobias, schizophrenia and on. For some reason "feeling or believing" that your body/gender is of another biological body/gender than you are actually in somehow doesn't fall in this category is frankly incredible. Again, that doesn't mean said person with any of these afflictions aren't human and deserve to be respected. However we normally don't throw parades for dudes with OCD or chicks with Anorexia. -

Two things: 1. I respect the attempt, not the best, but it's much better than most responses. 2. It's funny, just today at my company we had to take an HR e-learning module. 1 out of every 3 "scenarios" where they were talking about at work discrimination, bullying, things you should go to HR, etc. there was a Trans person as the main character. It's been the trendy, new and cool "marginalized" group the past few years and thus.....everywhere. No one is obsessed, they are just commenting on what's out there in the mainstream. Duh. -

I was about to type something similar to the above then thought....."Wait, didn't I post in this thread already?". So yeah, I agree with this stud above. -
I looked down after reading this and have the Panasonic Multi-Groomer trimmer Ad as well.

That was a great watch! What you consume influences you, consciously or subconsciously. The Blues had a baby, and its name was Rock n Roll. -
I've been away for a bit, is @TrailGuy a teenager OR is it a 60 year old has been like @NewbieJr with an alias desperately trying to act 18? It's definitely one of the two.

KSB2424 replied to avoiding injuries's topic in The Geek Club
I've been posting on this here forearm for 20 years and the one thing Dems, Repubs, Libertarian or Green seem to of all agreed upon was that corruption, extreme waste, fraud, etc. was bad for business. Not only that but all of the Geeks over the years argued about "social" polices but most were for balanced budgets and fiscal responsibility. Now, finally in 2025 there is a deep dive in government waste and fraud and some of you are losing your minds, clutching pearls and throwing hissy fits. This is what we needed and at one point in your life (pre Orange Man Bad) you wanted too. But you are blinded by the orange light. Government is bloated, its been bloated for decades and this correction is overdue. Yes, there will be collateral damage but ripping off band aids to expose bacteria does take some good skin and hairs with it. Still needs to be done to get rid of the infection before it continues to spread. This is a glorious time and well overdue. -
You have to be close to your emoticon quota for the day.

https://www.nioxin.com/en-US/products/nioxin-systems/system-kit-2 Seems legit, I'm just wary of these things. Some magic pill, it all feels more snake oil than anything. Again, I have 90% of my hair but I can tell its not the same as it was 20 years ago and its only a matter of time after 50. Part of me is like just embrace it and be "au naturel". Another part of me is like fock that its 2025, mofo's in Hollywood would be bald and gray but there are advances out there too.

Wait, wasn't that the married NAACP Prez from back in the day who was embezzling money and focking all the staffers who had to step down in shame? -
Meh, out of all the things in this country this is like 999th.

Here comes the gaslighting. -
I love this thread because it displays the bottom tier of this place. A. Out of all the current events happening the OP put 13 emoticons on a story about a little child saying something. I have kids, they were once very young and will say anything. You don't actually take it seriously. B. Then you have a 50+ year old man, pretending to be a woman on a football message board asking to fight. Amazing stuff.

Tulsi Gabbard and RFK Jr about to be confirmed now!
KSB2424 replied to HB Localboy's topic in The Geek Club
Two former Democrats who saw all the corruption and insanity the current Democrat Party has turned into. While I don't agree with all of their stances and have my questions, I do believe these two things about these two people. 1. They are about as authentic as any politician can be. Switching "sides" and facing all that backlash is a huge risk both personally and professionally and only a person who is true to their convictions would do such a thing. 2. They care. They care about the health of Americans and/or their safety. Their heart is in the right place. Nobody is perfect, but I'll sign off on both based on the above. -
Lets be honest, that is two somewhat famous old drunks meeting in NOLA. I'm actually very proud of both of them. Mahomes Senior smartly walked away and John didn't throw any Rockers.

While at 49 I have, 90+ percent of my hair and only my beard is graying, I find the responses to this thread unsatisfactory. Let us not "look at me" but rather "look at us". I'll be 50 later this year, Is there really some shampoo or something that prevents hair loss? I always try to be proactive rather than reactive. This could be a great thread.
