Dude, on the serious note- you gotta be careful. You said you've had trouble with poachers- mean sob's with guns, not good. No matter if it's your land, get into a shotout with someone and you're not getting much sympathy from the cops. I grew up in California and we all know that when we entered into private or public land and found signs of someone living there, staying there, whatever, it was a good time to turn around and go out the way we came upon the area. Weed growers get pretty serious when there's big money involved. Common booby traps were the mouse trap/rat trap rigged so the trap actually set off a shotgun shell. Well crap. I was putting together a small care package from Nashville complete with two sets of drum sticks and two sets of guitar strings. Figured a drummer didn't need a full set of drums, and could improvise. Figured new guitar strings would be gold over there to anyone who had a guitar. I know guitar companies sent acoustics over during Desert Storm. <dunno> If you don't want them, just say so, I'll send the other craptastic stuff I've put together for you. Would ear plugs help?

On my home, I checked rates, and tried to meet with at least two places. Unfortunately when I made an appointment with the mortgage person at my own bank, they didn't bother to show up for the meeting. Screw them, they are no longer my bank. I ended up with a small bank in my town, who BTW gave me a great rate. I've sent other people there and they've been hard to beat. I ended up with a 15 year fixed @ 4.75%. You may have to shop a couple of places, and ask locals where's the place they deal with. Sometimes the small banks are good, they will later sell the mortgage, but if the rate is fixed, the rate is fixed.

Titan's hosted the annual Kids Club Day on Saturday. Pretty cool deal for the kids. The kids got to go out on the field, they had the NFL kids games set up on the field, got a tour of the locker rooms, the kids got to meet the cheerleaders (looking good BTW) and about 8 players were set up doing autographs. After about 2 hours they cleared the field, fed the kids, and one of the players gave the stay in school, stay off drugs, and you can be whatever you want to be speech to the kids. Do the other NFL teams do this as well?

I'm a laker fan. But I wanted to see Kobe, and the rest of the stooges go out in the first round.

Getting into my first playoff game. My job came through with the tickets, pretty cool. The Preds have their backs against the wall and are facing elimination. I'm hoping for a good game. Dunno- rat's rear?
