Ten Dead And Thirty Injured Last Night In New Orleans

I just woke up….geesh. -
My new year's resolutions are: To start getting to work early and leave early like everyone else here. To work out regularly. To travel more, even if just locally. To cook at home more. To spend less time on Instagram. To really dedicate myself to learning Spanish, French and Chinese. Are there any resolutions you'd like to share?

I've just been "learning" them on Duolingo. I had French and Spanish in high school/college. I just picked up the Chinese on the Duolingo app. It's fun to learn all three, but it's not significant learning. I will take them all more seriously this year. I will mostly focus on the Spanish.

I get Indian or Chinese food a lot. I also have Factor Meals delivered once a month. I use them for lunch. Hence, I rarely cook these days.

Healthcare stocks are all going down right now. Is this an example of a good time to buy? I remember reading whathisname saying that he buys when everyone else is scared, when there is blood in the streets. (Warren Buffet)

It wasn't to me. I liked it.

You know..there is an element missing and I blame that on a cultural gap. Black people, who were born at the time, don't look at the Wiz as the Wiz in the movies. We knew of the Wiz before it hit the theaters. It was a Broadway play, and it starred the fabulous Stephanie Mills. In fact, people were terribly disappointed that the original cast wasn't in the movie. Diana Ross was miscast, imo. Michael Jackson was also a bit miscast in comparison to the play, but they wanted to capture a wider audience. The Lion was in the play and in the movie. The Wiz was a hit album. So, really, it didn't matter who was in the movie. But there were some iconic scenes and if you're black, and you're my age, you know them by heart. It's okay if you didn't like it. There are elements you probably didn't understand. The cool thing was that the backdrop was NYC, back when NY was really gritty.

Well, I think the store may suck but aren't they also part of Aetna? I think their pharmacy is still robust.

I didn't mean watching the West Side Story remake (Lin Manuel), no. I only like the original West Side Story. I meant, that West Side Story itself is a browner/different race version of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

I mean, what should I say about it? Once again, when Republicans make a point not to race bait, they'd win more Democrat run cities. This is their time to shine. If Republicans manage to change things for the better in these next 4 years, they'll for sure turn Democrats into Republicans.

Seriously??? Omg!!! I didn't listen to the videos but recall hearing yesterday that they had already circled the airport due to the birds. They finally landed because the birds had cleared. Now, they're saying it was due to birds? I don't believe that story.

The Wiz and West Side Story are great examples of good movies that changed the races of the main characters and modernized the storyline. Those films were almost as good as the original story, but different. The movie of The Wizard of Oz was just tantalizing to the eyes, all actors were filled to the brim with talent, everything about it was great. Hard to beat it, even after all of these years.

Oh my! Thanks! I'm afraid I don't look at those types of charts. I guess I should start. What should I look for? Profit? Operating Income? What even is EBITDA? How do you use that website to help you pick stocks? I love to learn new things from you guys!! You all are so smart!!

What about all these weight loss/diabetes drugs? Novo went sky high because of Ozempic and Eli Lilly sure doubled because of their weight loss (diabetes) drugs; Mounjaro and Zepbound. Did any of you have these companies in your portfolio?

Lololol! True, true! I didn't think about that one.

Hasn't Trump been using illegals in construction for decades? Why would anyone believe he truly wanted illegals out of this country when he and all of his rich industry titans use them to make their billions?

Me pointing out RACISM is not being a racist. Learn the difference. Not sure why you are even throwing the word racist around. What in this thread triggered you besides your own evil heart?

The point of my statement is that times change. You guys are still saying Vick sucks and running the ball is risky and standing in the pocket throwing the ball is just as good as being mobile. We'll see....

You don't sound like either.

No, I am not. Are you high?
