I was 15, horseback riding in NJ with the horse at full stride, I was terrified, and I guess began hyperventilating. In fact, I passed while on the horse. I woke up on the ground and was carried to a nearby hospital (ironically it was through a wooded area and exactly across the street). I had a concussion and was hospitalized for 2 days. I've never been horseback riding since.

Where have I written that white people are racist? You all are some sort of weird projection artists. Please re-read and copy and paste anything that implies that I am racist towards whites. Find the exact post and quote my racist words. Or even if you can't find it, because I do delete a lot, tell me what words I've used to imply that I feel whites are inferior to blacks. If I think whites or you are racist, that doesn't make me racist. Me pointing out that I feel others are unjust doesn't make me unjust.

Lastly, nothing I’ve ever written has shown I’m racist against anyone. Racism is the belief that one race is superior to others .

Okay, well I still support Colin K’s choice to kneel to highlight police brutality even if blacks commit a lot of crime. I think criminals should have the right to a fair trial and not be shot and killed when unarmed or not posing a threat.

Well I didn’t bring it up, we’re discussing Colin K’s kneeling as protest and I simply agree with his decision. Why doesn’t your culture do something about all these mass shootings? Feel free to prove that racial bias, profiling and police brutality doesn’t exist. I didn’t start this thread either. You guys always want to make me out to be racist for pointing out racism.

I don't understand what this means. Is this what happened to Russell Wilson? Meaning, did they bench him for contract reasons, not because he was playing poorly?

The answer to every cry of racism isn't, "Well if blacks wouldn't commit so many crimes."

I see the beauty of life, I do. But, I mean, if you look at plants and flowers, or birds or any creature, you can see the struggle for life. It's kind of brutal when you look at the facts and not just from the outside.

I don’t remember the facts but I do think someone pointed out that he only started kneeling when he was getting benched or some such, like he wasn’t playing well. I still respect his decision.

I believe black police officers can be racist against black people. Listen, I revere the police. My heart drowns in pain for the police working in troubled neighborhoods and for those officers that lose their lives in the line of duty. You can love the police and be critical of them at the same time.

I respect Colin K. for trying to shed light on police brutality. It exists whether you choose to believe it or not. He gave up his career for his beliefs, which I agree with, and there is nothing he could say or do that would satisfy people who refuse to acknowledge racism in the police department. Colin like all of us is flawed. He doesn’t have to be a perfect human being in order to shed light on a national problem.

That’s interesting, I never heard that before but have certainly thought that maybe we’re all in hell here. I mean when you really look at the brutality of nature and the selfishness of humanity, it does seem like a horrible place. Due to the current administration, my work situation is whack. Other than that, meh, not much difference in my day to day living. I’m not more satisfied. I’m also not devastated, despite having job insecurity. I’m curious, does the country feel greater to you?

I work in an environment with a high population of Asian staff (from India and China) and almost everyone decided not to travel in fear of not being allowed back in the country, despite their legal status. I listened quietly to their conversations and fears and heard them tell their loved ones not to travel. They don't trust this administration. I am not here to debate how they feel, I just heard them say many things that made them feel afraid. These are highly educated people.

An officer was slain and nothing from the the White House about an active shooter that attacked government property. This guy shot out 200 windows at the CDC and not a peep from the President. Trump should’ve at least contacted the family of the officer. There should’ve been more news coverage about this….
