  1. First, despite the medias intense focus, most black people I knew, didn’t follow the case closely. They just felt he was innocent without understanding the facts of the case. Many did not trust the police and believed the police corrupted the evidence and felt he was set up. I actually was one of the few who was interested and followed the story closely. I thought he was guilty and felt the prosecution proved its case. Even my Dad, who played football and knew OJ believed he was innocent. Until this very day he’ll say that OJ was really nice and super friendly and not the type at all. He said OJ didn’t have that sort of personality. OJ likes a good time and was easy going. You know…some men don’t want to understand that behind closed doors people can be different.

    Buh bye Abe Lincoln!

It was a temporary display that was put up in 2013! Can they put up something else new now? It’s been years. Geesh. It doesn’t have anything to do with erasing history, just changing to another topic. Not everything is about destroying icons.

  4. I thought he was guilty and I didn’t cheer for him. The cameras weren’t there to capture my reaction for some reason…..
  5. I think blacks that are poor and living in densely packed high rise structures in food and job deserts are living in conditions that are abnormal. Even rats will kill and even eat each other without proper food, space and lack of resources. Blacks can certainly improve in this area. We don’t do as good a job as other groups in caring for where we live. But, I think the areas that are really nice aren’t often shown. Lots of places especially in the Atlanta metro area are pristine and beautiful.
  6. Says who? I don’t think Native Americans blame blacks for their destruction and the ruin of the country as they knew it. We predominantly live in the major cities, what’s the excuse for the rest of the country? The price of food, the high cost of homes, the lack of manufacturing jobs, the opioid crisis, the high cost of healthcare are not the fault of black people.
  7. Maybe she felt he was going to rob her or she felt threatened. It happens. I think you shouldn’t come to a conclusion until you hear all the facts which includes her perspective. At least that’s what the public is told whenever there is an unarmed person who was shot by the police. We mustn’t jump to conclusions. Remember when that woman shot that black man while he was in his own apartment? We had to wait, because she thought she was in her apartment and that’s why she killed him, it was a mistake.
  8. Good point. Notice how quickly the narrative comes out that he was a nice grandpa just going to apologize for hitting her car. By the way, I don’t doubt that this was case. I immediately got so sad for this man and his family. However, I also note that negative images and stories come out when the victim is black and the assailant is white. Trayvon was shown wearing a ‘scary threatening hoodie’ and they published pictures him holding a gun when was unarmed. I’m just noting how the media tries to paint a portrait of everyone involved before all the facts come out. If she’s (the shooter) from California and a car hits you gently and someone got out (and is parked behind you) that could mean you’re about to get robbed. Now, clearly it’s not usually some old white guy but a street savvy person is thinking they’re getting ´run up on’. That is my opinion of what was going on in her mind. It happens. People get robbed like that all the time.

    Does hell exist?

    A compliment!
  10. I know what I wrote and I wasn’t angry so I need you to show me where you found my words angry and please point out any racist remark I’ve made.

    Does hell exist?

No, there isn’t a hell or a God for that matter.
  12. Where am I angry? It’s funny, Zimmerman stalked and killed an unarmed teenage boy, after being told not to follow Trayvon Martin, yet white folks across the nation, without learning all the facts, sided with Zimmerman. I personally, don’t believe in shooting to kill without clear threat of death but you all do. Yet, no one even considered for a second that she may have felt threatened?
  13. That person that was complaining was not me. Did you miss it? They asked what positive thing did blacks bring to this country? I wasn’t complaining, I answered the question that was posed. My answer was centuries of free labor. That’s not a complaint but rather a fact.
  14. Here’s the thing. Someone, not me, complained that all black people, not just black criminals, but all black people have had no purpose and why were we here. A poster earlier made this comment. I RESPONDED that your ancestors purchased us and brought us here. We worked for free for centuries and made the Americas, the Caribbean and Europe rich. Sadly, we were mistreated and many of us (but not most) live lives of struggle and inequality. Not sure where you misunderstood my reply but Africans and Arabs sold slaves and some still do in this day sell slaves. I’m waiting for any of you to educate ME, please, I’m waiting still……

Oh! I used to love that song as a child. Me and my friend used to listen to it together. I think there was a movie with…. Benson? I used to have a crush. Memories! Geez, I had no idea how the world was not as I thought.
  16. Clearly, I’m not the one who is angry around here. Go buy your gold sneakers.

  18. You’re the only stupid person around here. Others have made entire threads about you and much they dislike you. Worry about that. You can’t educate ME about slavery. I’m the product of slavery all sides. Come up with some facts instead of insults. I’ll be waiting.

Ancestors Of Slave Owners Find Out…

African Americans are 30% European on average. Of course we have slave owners in our genealogy. Many slave masters bred with with slaves. Common sense.
  20. Europeans purchased Africans in Africa from Africans and shipped them over to the Americas and the Caribbean as slaves. There were some Arabs who were involved on a smaller scale as well. I don’t need an education about it. They were very useful and profitable for all involved. Stop complaining. If blacks were treated better historically and even today, they’re wouldn’t be such disparities. Even with this story, if the colors were reversed you’d be siding with the white woman who shot the scary black man who hit her car and was walking toward her because she thought she was about to be killed or robbed. I guess black women aren’t allowed to be afraid. I’m against using deadly force and all that stand your ground BS. I just find it hypocritical that you all seem to see nothing wrong with it until people of color use it as a defense. Once again, not defending her, just noting that you made no attempt to see her point of view.
  21. They were a net positive for this entire hemisphere for centuries. Your people couldn’t stop shipping us here. Today, you certainly enjoy watching blacks play sports.
