    RIP Matthew Perry

I was never a fan of the show but it’s shocking and sad. He lived a wonderful life I’m sure.

    Mass Shootings Maine

Oh, sorry. I guess I’m romanticizing the people and the state. The people who I know from there cook and bake from scratch and sew and are so gentle and kind. I suppose murder and mental illness is everywhere.

    Mass Shootings Maine

Geez, only just now got a special news report. The few people I know from Maine are the sweetest kindest people I know. So scary and unexpected.

    The Genius of Martin Scorsese

This is my theory, and thank you for helping me realize it…. I think message boards and comment sections get activity when trolls antagonize posters. I think you’re paid to help encourage activity on this site. I see people or bots just like him all over news articles. It has to be a tactic rather than a real person writing from true beliefs.
  13. I don’t mind it. I’m usually giving an extra $2 - $6 max. It’s not that much because I don’t eat out or grab food to go often.

My Sister Won't Let It Go

Hilarious! I knew my brother would never see it. (…I’ll be sure to delete it just in case.)

    The Genius of Martin Scorsese

I love some of those movies.
  16. I think I read recently that murder is at an all time historic low. (I guess kids are too busy making TikTok dances)

  18. I worked in a genetics lab for years after taking graduate level genetics classes. I still work in research. We are all one human race. Of course Europeans have Neanderthal DNA but the rest of us are human, homo sapien. Race is a social construct, not based in biology. Feel free to research it yourself since you know so much.

    War in Israel

I’m going to stick to the Wordle thread:: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CygY4dGLi0S/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
  20. He didn’t tell the story well, but in short, Will was aggressive with comedian Tommy Davidson. Tommy was in a movie with Jada and Will was jealous of their kissing scene .
  21. Race as a categorizing term referring to human beings was first used in the English language in the late 16th century. Until the 18th century it had a generalized meaning similar to other classifying terms such as type, sort, or kind. Occasional literature of Shakespeare’s time referred to a “race of saints” or “a race of bishops.” By the 18th century, race was widely used for sorting and ranking the peoples in the English colonies—Europeans who saw themselves as free people, Amerindians who had been conquered, and Africans who were being brought in as slave labour—and this usage continues today. Britannica Systema naturae in 1735, in which the Swedish naturalist Carl Linnaeus proposed a classification of humankind into four distinct races. With the 1776 edition of his book, On the Natural Variety of Mankind, German scientist Johan Friedrich Blumenbach is credited with creating one of the first race-based classifications. He decided on five categories: "Caucasian, the white race; Mongolian, the yellow race; Malayan, the brown race, Ethiopian, the black race, and American, the red race." Each race was ranked, and he put "Caucasian" at the top. Note: European’s notion of blackness originated from the inhabitants of EAST Africa, you know, where the Egyptians reside.
  22. I haven’t disrespected anyone here or called anyone a derogatory name. I’m not thin skinned but you’ve crossed the line by calling me the b-word. I would’ve chuckled at this post had you not included it.
  23. You clearly can’t read. I’ve already stated that based on what I’ve read Cleopatra had Greek origins. No argument. I was making the point that Egyptians, the ones on the walls the ones who made the Sphinx were black Africans. I was not trying to prove that I personally was genetically linked to them. As a matter of fact I even wrote that you and I (or any poster here) are more genetically related to each other than I am to an East African. However, just so you know, West Africans and East Africans traded with each throughout history. Lastly, my point, since you all clearly missed it, is that to look at today’s Egyptians and make conclusions about Egyptians thousands of years ago (after so many invasions) is ridiculous. Just as ridiculous as looking at today’s Americans or Puerto Ricans or Australians and thinking that the majority population looks the same without taking into account the mixing that has occurred over hundreds and thousands of years. Once again, find me some brown skinned (keep in mind, I’m black yet those people in the walls are darker than me) curly haired, big lipped people that aren’t black with the same bone structure (jutting chin and face that slopes forward). Btw, it ridiculous that you call me racist. Race is a white persons invention. I didn’t start this thread. Just because I jumped in to give my opinion that counters the claims of all the posters here, I’m racist? All I’m saying is that the ancient Egyptians were black African. That’s racist? How?
