I tend to agree it’s not world ending. In the past these things just end up costing more money to cover all the stuff that didn’t happen when we were shutdown and people are inconvenienced. It is a sign of disfunction to perform their most basic task however. That Elon seems to have spearheaded is unusual, but unusual is what I expect from a Trump WH.

Not sure what you are referring to, but I’d guess something like this is usually some rich fock framing it as a jobs thing or good for business and generating taxes. Ask Elon he knows all about government shilling for business!
