I don’t think General Mills is working with Big Pharma to make people sick. General Mills is trying to raise their profits, please stock holders, and their top executives are figuring out how to get paid as much as possible.

Yep. These companies aren’t trying to make people fat, they are trying to make stuff that people buy as cheaply as possible. To stop them from doing that regulations will need to be created and enforced.

Anything that makes food better is a good by me. Hopefully the rubes don’t whine when steps are taken to move in this direction.

Certain people in the past have not liked the guberment regulating their food. Maybe this time will be different. Not to mention corporations resisting what has previously been cast as government intrusion on business. I will keep an open mind, I don’t expect much.

I don’t make processed food but that I assume is the goal - make it as cheap as possible. More regulations and oversight is what stops them from doing this.

We’ll see what the corporations do when regulations hit them and what the goobers do when their Fruit Loops are less neon, taste different, and cost 20 cents more.
