I would expect neighbors to help each other before Federal assistance. When a town is getting rebuilt, when insurance companies start focking people over, when people don’t have insurance, etc we all know where people end up going to as they should - their government. I know everyone knows exactly how to fix everything sitting on their ass typing on their keyboard but when a mountain gives way and wipes out a town it gets a little bit trickier.

Being ignored…no…they are in remote areas these will be harder to help. When you live in remote areas you enjoy certain aspects. No traffic, do whatever you want, cheap land, no neighbors, etc. When a generational disaster occurs receiving help is not going to come as quick.
