If she’s not the nominee it would be very crazy after all these prominent people getting on board today. Once this movement to get Joe to step down started being talked about aloud Kamala was going to be the choice. If he would have announced he wasn’t running again last year she would have been the front runner but of course others could have thrown their hats in the ring. Him stepping down just after the RNC is the best timing that they could do this once this became a thing after the election. They will own all the coverage now. Trump will probably have to return to saying really crazy shet to get it back and acting outlandish. That is his forte so we’ll see what he cooks up. That bandage on his ear and Hulk Hogan and Kid Rock won’t cut it!

It happened because of the debate. A sitting Prez isn’t going to get a serious challenge in the primaries. They just aren’t. Maybe this will actually change that, but I doubt it. This is a very unique situation with Biden versus Trump. With that…Biden wins the nom basically unopposed as what always happens. He then melts down in a debate and this idea he needs to be replaced snowballs to what we have today. The party is coalescing behind Harris very quickly because of the money, the optics of skipping her, and simply they need to have someone rather than chaos.

He is/was the Prez. He chose to run. There wasn’t anyone making him do anything is what I am saying. The party leaders or whoever we are alluding to here would have def preferred to have a normal selection process I am sure, now their hands are tied.

Ok. From my perspective this is on Biden. He chose to run, no one made him. He then totally shet the bed and threw this whole thing into chaos. Kamala at this point is realistically the only candidate they can roll with. She is the only one that can access the campaign money that exists. If they go to the convention is it a total mess. In a perfect world I am sure the party leaders would have preferred that Biden step aside much earlier and a normal process could have occurred.

I mean this is a very unique situation but yeah it’s not ideal. Personally way more concerned about the precedent of a losing Prez having an army of rednecks attack the Capitol, trying to get his AG to lie about the election, trying to get his VP to not certify the results etc.

Well I suppose that remains to be seen. I was referring to the people announcing today they are supporting her. It’s a lot of prominent Dems. Sounds like donations are also through the roof today.

Why in the world would they do this to get a candidate that is unproven? This is a wild theory.

Today after Biden stepped out there are endorsements pouring in. I have seen about 20 Dem Governors and Senators and I’m half watching the Dodger game and making dinner.

The primaries for the incumbent Prez are pretty worthless.

The democrats didn’t run him, he chose to run, which he earned. He then had the debate disaster. Without that he’d still be running.
