I thought it would be pretty clear over the years. But quickly: We saw what happens under crisis during Trump. Total shetshow. He left the place a big dumpster fire. That set up the following years poorly whereas Trump was setup nicely. When we are strictly comparing where we are at point A and point B this has to be taken into account. Economically, we are doing well comparatively. I for one, and millions of others are much better off financially than 4 years ago so speak for yourself there. As far as policies I prefer Dems outlook on Environmental Issues, Health Care, and Taxes. I prefer the judicial leanings of Dems. I prefer some, but not all, of their stances on social issues. Finally, Trump’s refusal to acknowledge he lost has very much damaged our political system. If he had a VP or an AG who would have followed along how much worse would it have been - it was already very, very bad. That alone should have him removed as a candidate and I still can’t understand why he wasn’t removed from you all’s list. Biden’s presidency has been ok. Not great, he has accomplished some very good things, but also not terrible.

I would go the route reflecting with my family, trusted advisors, I realize that time has come. We accomplished great things and the last thing I can do is allow another candidate the opportunity to lead. Father Time is undefeated, etc. Gets his bouquets at the DNC.

He could use any number of reasons to step aside. Catching Covid would be way down the list I would use.

I mean it’s up to him to decide. If he were to step aside it has to be a huge hit to the ego. Personally think getting beat badly would be worse.

If he has no chance of winning he said he would drop out. Let’s see if he actually does it. I have gone back and forth on this but have settled on he will drop out…at least for today

The debate happened. Now that a number of Dems in office, donors, talking heads are piling on him to get out he is a lost cause. They can’t reverse this now. He doesn’t have to drop of course, but in my view he has no chance outside of something very extraordinary occurring.

It’s the idea of a candidate being killed by a crazy person. It is a terrible thing for the nation. Yea there would be a replacement, but talking about them getting murdered like this is bizarre.

The bottom line is Biden has no shot and isn’t getting it back.

Ideal ticket for me all things considered are Kamala with a white dude who looks like a tv politician, preferably from the south. Andy Beshear Kentucky fits the bill, Shapiro from Penn would work.

Yeah. Lots of polling is coming out that shows the bad news for Joe and more importantly the better news for others.

I am back on the train that Biden backs out. This will really start ramping up after RNC is over. More polling coming out that Biden trails many Dem candidates versus Trump. More donors backing off, more prominent politicians speaking out. Kamala isn’t the best candidate that would replace him but I don’t see how they could bounce her. I do think she’d fair better than Joe, but others could do better than her.
