Supreme Court rules President is immune for “official acts”
thegeneral replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
Did you provide an opinion? You were kind of hemming and hawing and then said maybe it was misinterpreted, fake news perhaps. In any case I don’t see how anyone arrives there when you read what he said, what Pence said. -

I am asking you to give an opinion. This is a message board None of this bullshet matters You took a little step here. You think it’s more likely than not that he was being misinterpreted. There you go. Read his speech on Jan 6th. How was this misinterpreted? ”Because if Mike Pence does the right thing, we win the election. All he has to do, all this is, this is from the number one, or certainly one of the top, Constitutional lawyers in our country. He has the absolute right to do it. We’re supposed to protect our country, support our country, support our Constitution, and protect our constitution. States want to revote. The states got defrauded, They were given false information. They voted on it. Now they want to recertify. They want it back. All Vice President Pence has to do is send it back to the states to recertify and we become president and you are the happiest people.” -

Have we talked about the Epstein Island list?
thegeneral replied to tubby_mcgee's topic in The Geek Club
I believe this is @Maximum Overkill‘s area of expertise. It was odd that Don backtracked about releasing various Epstein files a couple weeks ago in his interview with the esteemed journalists on Fox and Friends. -

Convenient. Odd as it so clearly laid out for you. It’s not like it was subtle -

Right, you don’t want to imply intent here. -

You didn’t give an opinion of what Trump meant when he repeatedly asked Pence to not certify the election results - including the speech on Jan 6th when he got the rubes all wound up. -

You can just say what you think Don was saying when he was telling Pence not to certify the election or asking DoJ to just say it was corrupt and he’d take care of the rest. This isn’t “The People’s Court” here. -

From the way it has been explained I don’t see how they replace Joe. It would be like an episode of “The West Wing” which would be cool but won’t happen. The money, the fracturing of the party, tie timing. It’s Joe or bust. He Ruth Bader Ginsberg’d it, he hung around too long. -

The thing here is this is public record. Trump said it, Pence said it. The lawyers said it. I did get a bit of a chuckle at the bit where you talked about not applying intent to people. -

The guy who cut Epstein the sweetheart deal in Florida did end up in Donald’s Cabinet - Alexander Acosta. -

What was the intent of Trump telling Pence to not certify the election? How do you take that? -

It’s what happened. It’s what Pence said happened. Don talked about it aloud. His lawyers told him that it was illegal. He didn’t give a fock. I get that you have this odd reaction to it. Coping mechanism. -

Droning bad dudes is a good start. Isn’t that what we were talking about? How this is the same as a Prez’s officially duties consisting of pressuring DoJ to say an election was corrupt or your VP to not certify the election after you were advised that is illegal I don’t know. -

I mean in a perfect world yeah. I also agree there is something to be said about trying to kill all the enemy, you just create more. However, after 9/11 shet needed to be blown up. Preferably in the correct country. The process by which we collect intel should always be reviewed and improved but if you are being told this is the target, well bombs away. Much better than sending in troops. -

Ideally we never have to kill anyone. But, I kind of prefer it when we drone bad guys. Better than sending 100k soldiers into desert and mountains trying to track these people down and killing them that way. I hadn’t heard any of the right upset about this TBH. I thought this was a far left or perhaps Libertarian thing. -
