The other side is always a threat to democracy. I am pretty sure both candidates will repeat this about 5 times a week in their political speeches.

There will def be a lot of political hay made out of this and the other rulings they have shot out this past week or so. I do agree this is the way it is though, but yeah politicians going to make political arguments. Along with Clarence traveling all over the place as unreported “gifts”, Alito and Clarence’s wives showing their asses on Jan 6th, etc. Been a bit of a rough couple months for the SC. Coupled with how we got to such a wide majority with Mitch’s chicanery is pretty brutal.

Who said it was corrupt? You I guess the difference I am seeing is go ahead and go after any Prez you like if they broke the law. They aren’t kings. This just seems to give this job, that already has seemingly unlimited power, even more.

Biden beat Trump fairly. Are you saying you are ok with a Prez after being told it’s illegal to pressure his VP to not certify the election? Are you ok with the Prez telling DoJ to say the election was corrupt, after they had not uncovered any evidence, and to then leave the rest to the Prez?

Nixon pulled his act a few decades too early.

Trump was acquitted by the Senate. The argument was IIRC based largely in that he was no longer Prez. It fell like 10 votes short.

So killing someone is where you do draw the line. That’s a start

So let’s take Trump’s situation with Jan 6th. The argument in the Senate was that since Trump wasn’t actually Prez anymore then he couldn’t be impeached. So you get a nice little window there to do whatever you like if it’s “official”.

Congress is never going to impeach the Prez. There are too many hacks to reach those numbers.

They both sounded ridiculous for large periods that I heard TBH. Biden like an old man trying to get out 12 things at once. Trump like a rambling mess with 3 things to say on repeat regardless of the question. The golf bit, which they actually turned Trump’s mic back on for, was one of the lowest moments in presidential debate history A skilled debater would shred both of these guys easily. I have said it a few times - Biden is the only guy Trump could possibly beat and Trump is the only guy Biden could possibly beat.
